Ya girl just got into SCAD for Graphic Design, screw law school, sorry DIO I’m on the Rohan path now
I've been thinking, for someone who studies people for his job his social skills suck. I kinda think that's why he's like *that* always kinda lonely so he created his own characters so keep him company in a way. A giant prick because not having friends because you don't attempt to make them is far easier than not having any friends even though you try. The only character he's really shown to be friends with is Koichi, and despite everything Rohan seems to really value that. Even so, in his relationship with Koichi, Koichi feels a lot more like hes Rohan's best friend than Rohan is his best friend. Kinda makes me sad. Though what he lacks in social skills he makes up for in ego.
Yes. To preface I’m still a little tipsy from lunch lol but here are my thoughts:
I think rohan was pretty isolated as a kid and started viewing people less as people and more as source material. I’m not saying he’s sociopathic or anything he’s just awkward bc he studies them and tries to understand their motives and character rather than as an actual person if that makes sense? And that made it hard to make friends and if you’re 18 and having a wildly successful manga Uh ywah I think it’s pretty acceptable to have a little superiority complex. And yeah Koichi is Rohan’s best friend, but I do think Koichi cares about Rohan, idk if you’ve watched the OVAs but once Rohan sells all his worldly belongings to protect the mountain with the spirits on It he moves in with Koichi. So I think they’re solidly friends and it’s not just one sided on Rohan’s part. Rohan may be an asshole but I love him💕

Testing out some new markers with my favorite part 4 boys
All done💕
Testing out some new markers with my favorite part 4 boys
Since we're poppin off, I just wanna say that the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan extra manga shorts and OVA's are way better than people think. The stories are actually some of Araki's most intriguing ideas and I love that he finally found a place to explore them!! Rohan has a lot of depth and I appreciate that he represents a search for truth and delving into the spirit world. He deserves more respect than "I want that twink obliterated" jokes!!!! 😤😡👊
y e s
People also dont bother to read the side stories and that's sad; but i am glad it is gettin animated since it will get more attention
There is much more to Rohan than an annoying twink who licks spiders 😞😞 while i do love pokin fun at characters and all, i hate when people take the joke too far that it strays away from its joking nature. I legit see people saying how much they dislike Rohan and how ugly he is???? Hello???? If it wasn't for Rohan, they wouldn't have progressed further with their investigations.
Overall, i love Rohan a lot coz he is THAT bitch. He is so successful, sassy and unbothered from first glance (which i fuckin love), and then you delve deep into his character, and you see the childlike curiosity and the passion to learn. He is also p sympathetic and emotional as well. There is a lot more to him than the extravagant facade.
And lemme tell ya, the stand.....iconic. i fuckin love Heaven's Door, and how Rohan uses it to satisfy his curiosity. Honestly, he deserves the money and the success he has 😩😩👏
@frozenzippers I love how many of us saw THIS panel in Rohan at the Louvre and went YES THAT IS THE MAN I LOVE ( @giogio-gucci-gangstar did this too I think heheh 💖💖💖) Good taste gang 👊💕
YES! Sometimes his intense and obsessive nature overshadow then fact that he’s caring and driven and self sacrificing. Highway Star is one of my favorite arcs (and Rohan At The Louvre is my ALL TIME FAVORITE) bc he’s a sarcastic asshole while still caring about the random person he saw in the tunnel and trying to protect Josuke. I just love the man so much😭🥰💕🥰😭
Unwilling Wingman pt. 3
~excerpt~
Josuke rubbed his cheek. It still felt weird after Rohan had used Heaven’s Door on him. It had just been for some base rules but it still felt like a kind of violation.
The first being “Josuke may not mention any details or the deal in general to Jotaro.” Simple enough. Though Josuke did find it a little heartwarming that Rohan thought he and Jotaro were close enough to conspire against him for money. Now that was a relationship to aspire to.
Second was “Josuke will only speak positively about Rohan Kishibe.” Josuke had been a little skeptical about this one, but as long as it was believable he didn't really care. Money was money, and he sure as fuck was broke.
Third and last rule was only being able to discuss, or rather brainstorm, the matter with Koichi. Which brought up one major question.
“Why didn’t you just ask Koichi to do this? Jotaro talks to him too.” Josuke pointed out.
“I did. He refused.” Rohan looked bitter about this, and frankly Josuke was too. He didn't like being anyone’s sloppy seconds even if it was Rohan, the sloppiest of them all.
“Did you try to bribe him too?”
“Yes, but that didn’t work for some reason.” Rohan looked genuinely puzzled, but Josuke knew exactly what was wrong with Koichi.
“Yeah he’s got a weird moral code”
“Something you thankfully lack” Rohan said it with the tone of a compliment but clearly the man was insulting him. Quite rude considering how much time and effort Josuke was so generously sacrificing for Rohan’s pointless little love life.
“But it works out for both of us this way.”
“I suppose so”
Rohan at the Louvre just hits differently
Can we PLEASE have this animated
