I think the most disappointing thing about One Piece is that we had half of the Straw Hats stuck on the Polar Tang for days/weeks however long it took to get from Zou to Wano and there just wasn't anything said about that trip?

You can't convince me that Zoro didn't get lost in engineering and Law didn't end up just teleporting the dumbass around every time he got lost. You can't convince me that the Heart Pirates weren't scrambling to keep Franky out of the workings of the Tang both for secrecy's sake and damn it Franky if you try and pull another panel off you will break seal and we will drown! Nothing you say will make me not believe that Ussop wasn't freaking out about being down in the depths of the ocean for days at a time but don't worry he does this all of the time. They call him God Ussop after all. Being underwater is no big deal, it's just like that time he tamed the kraken singlehandedly. You cannot tell me Robin didn't have Shachi and Penguin freaked out when she mentions that Polar Bears are the only species of bear that see humans as prey and fifteen minutes later she's casually asking Bepo if she can examine his claws.

You just can't gloss over what a dumpster fire of a trip that must have been.

zoro's snoring so loud hes about to pop a lung. usopp just fell out of his hammock. robin says terrifying things in her sleep. sanji is beating the shit out of luffy in the room over because luffy just tried breaking into the fridge again.

that is like the opposite of asmr.

hearing a crash and screams from the kitchen as luffy has yet again been caught by sanji.

Whenever you leave a room, you leave a kiss on Zoro’s cheek. It’s become such a habit that you do it without ever thinking (and he’ll deny everything, but he leans toward you when he sees you get up to leave).

Sometimes you did it without ever saying a word, eyes still on the logbook Nami had you double check as you stood to put away your coffee mug. Zoro, still sat in the chair beside yours, barely acknowledges as you cradle the back of his head, angling his cheek toward you to press a chaste kiss there. 

It’s somewhat of a ritual, a way for affection to be shared without the need for words, which neither of you were particularly good with. Sure, the crew rolled their eyes and gagged nearly every time, but they thought it was sweet for the most part (save for the stupid cook).

Luffy would think it's sweet too, if he actually understood, that is. He knows you and Zoro are exclusive cause you love each other and all that jazz, but he doesn’t get that the affection you’ll show each other is reserved for that type of relationship. So after the first ten times he sees you leave a kiss on Zoro’s cheek as you leave a room, he assumes this is some new thing to do. A new way to say goodbye.

Safe to say, Usopp was less than receptive to his farewell leaving breakfast that day.

“Gah! Luffy!”

“They started it!”

You froze at the sink, trying so very hard to not smile, but then you looked at Zoro, and laughter bubbled out of you. “Luffy—” You giggled “—that’s a me and Zoro thing. Like, a me and Zoro thing.”

He blinked slowly, nodding even slower. “Psh, I knew that.”

Usopp was still wiping his cheek with his napkin, shooting his captain a narrowed look. “Do not kiss me again.”
