No but when Vin said "You came back, No one's ever come back before" it broke me...!!
Final piece of Vin, Mistborn: The Final Empire. The book is now on my top 3 of all time, made me scream, laugh and cry. The characters are memorable and the story is epic. I loved every piece of it, even the sad parts. Vin is a great female character, strong but fragile and above all she’s brilliant. Brandon Sanderson‘s books appear to be my new obsession and have rearranged my TBR of this year. It’s being a long time since I created a piece for pure pleasure. Loving the cosmere universe.
Spoiler alert I guess?
The wedding sketch
The impact of these last chapters of The Well of Ascension has me on the edge of my seat I swear. Vin and Zane fight… freaking epic. The Hasting’s mansion masacre… traumatizing. The traitor’s revealing…shocking. But Vin realizing she can actually be with Elend without guilt… just had me crying. I’m loving this. So as always I had to focus my obsession in something productive.
Lemme just point out how awesome Kelsier's fight with the inquisitor at the end of The Final Empire is. There are constant descriptions of his amazing allomantic skill, and his general grace, with him being a blur on the battlefield. He avoids being crushed by a cage wagon by jumping INTO the cage and pushing all around him. He distracts and hurts the inquisitor by keeping a constant swarm of small metal shards flying around it by expertly pulling and pushing, even using the inquisitor's own allomancy against it. And then, he ends the fight with the only technique that could possibly beat all of the above: Break face with rock.
Truly, a legend
