What would your Boss!Venti's phrases/dialouge be? (Those stuff bosses say at the start of a battle, end and start of a phase, when they kill one of the characters in your team, and after being defeated etc etc..)

Heyo!!Imma ask the same thing I asked on your other blog I think I mightve accidentally asked it there so Im gonna write this one again

Or what would the travelers and Venti's first interaction right after the battle or would Venti just lije-yk-die?

Sorry if this is long,I just really like your art and au and can't get enough of it!!!!^^

Heyo Gierosajie!Sorry if this ask is sudden but
Could I take your ideas about what Boss!Venti's phrases would be?Like something at the start of the battle, end and start of a phase, end of boss after getting defeated, after killing one of the characters in your team etc etc...
I'd just really like to hear your ideas on this since your concept arts and ideas as always, are delicious-especially whenever the topic is Venti! :D

Okay, so! I'm gonna be honest with you, I only have the defeat voiceline since with the context of the boss fight, we're up against more of a force of nature than Venti himself

That said, he does grunt and laugh at times (think something like CN Jingliu during her skill or CN Senti in one of her atk chains/charged atk) like when he retreats before turning his wings into blades or the crashing atk where he tears down a wind barrier to crush you

With the Vessels au you had on the color wheel, is it all gods or just Venti bc hes wind? Also I wanna know how the sharing works <3 Its all very neat

Aw, thanks! ^ ^

Anyway, all the gods are unable to do anything with their divine presence like, they CAN still manifest and be seen and interact, but their mere presence is quite frankly terrifying. Kinda like biblical angels and stuff

Like, Venti doesn't wanna scare people, or even directly let them know he's there since he wants to keep his promise of distance from their affairs. The way the whole vessels thing works is that a god could manifest in a mortal's body. It's a lot like what Nahida does with projecting her consciousness, except they don't exchange bodies and the owner is still aware (tho the mortal can still lose consciousness sometimes while the god is the one taking the wheel). Most of the time the god is another presence in their head and they can freely switch between each other

Nameless Bard being in the au is a mystery that will never get addressed though

This might sound like the most insane thing but I have been looking around for a pretty snail to get tattooed (I raise snails as pets. No joke.) And I adore your earth snail! 😍 Could I get a lil tattoo of him?!

Snail pictures as proof!

Please make posters like the Mondstadt and Liyue one. I really love those posters and I always check on it on my folder tab on my desktop and I always have you pinned on my bookmarks to see if you will make an Inazuma or a Sumeru one! Thank you :)!

Wait omg I forgot to answer this when I got back-

Anyway ddksgjft I do plan on drawing more of the archon quest posters and the Inazuma and Interlude chapters are works in progress, but as of now, I don't really have access to the computer the files are on so I can't really work on them yet

HOWEVER!

I did save the finished Inazuma Act III poster on my google drive. It's a bit old, but here it is, Anon

The first thing Venti did when Mother’s Day (or the equivalent of Teyvat) was to collect a lot of Cecilias and bring them to Istaroth.

She was so touched by the gesture that she made sure those flowers never died

Imagine if we open the place under the Time and Wind island, there's a bunch of cecilias that are frozen in time inside and trying to pick them up puts them on the quest item inventory, but they disappear and go back to the original place if you try to leave the island

Istaroth has probably eyes on her wings, if the Statue of the Omnipresent God represent her...

So, what if Venti had too eyes on his wings, which look invisible when closed?

What if the eyes are like the Traveller Twins' wings except more organic and feathery at the edges

Also, have you ever noticed that in every visual depiction of Barbatos, his eyes are closed

So... I noticed something about Khaenri'ah, and it's been stuck in my brain for a while now.

Everyone says that the primogem-like star symbol is Khaenri'ah's star but isn't the eight pointed one the Khaenri'ahn star, the one of Halfdan's robes?

I think the four pointed one is Phanes symbol. Considering PRIMOgems, the PRIMOrdial one. Also it's the pupil shape of the people of Khaenriah but we also see it on other characters clothing, especially on the Traveler.

So... what if Khaenriah wasn't exactly godless? What if they used to worship Phanes when Teyvat was one, but then Celestia/The Second Who Came arrived and overthrew Phanes and the Shades, which led to a bunch of people coming together because they didn't accept Celestia's ruleship, so the escaped underground, where the gods can't see them, and created Khaenriah.

It makes sense considering Khaenriah, or underground civilizations in general, had some connection with Istaroth (considering the note in the chasm and the whole of Enkanomiya), and it would also explain pretty well the reason why Celestia ordered Khaenri'ah's destruction, if Celestia is really it's really The Second Who Came. Because it happened something similar to Orobaxi, who found the book "Before Sun and Moon", who was written by a Scribe of Istaroth and tells tales of the past, and Orobaxi then was killed

Oooh you do make interesting points!

Not to mention, there's the whole Primordial Human Project Rhinedottir had going on, with her using the 4 pointed star as a mark of her success

The timeline also more or less matches up with how after the skyfrost nail fell and the heavens went silent to Sal Vindagnyr's pleas, its scribe mentions how there are people creating Khaenri'ah at the time

"I've heard of people who are building a new nation without gods. Perhaps they'll have the power to stand against this world." — Scribe's Box

Another thing I'd like to add in support of the last part is that Khaenri'ah's curse and subsequent destruction could also be like a mirror to what happened to King Deshret's kingdom except on a much, much larger scale where the whole of Teyvat got involved, alongside the rogue experiments from Gold adding in to the chaos. With how a similar thing might have almost happened to Enkanomiya if not for Orobashi taking on the punishment for knowing, the forbidden knowledge may very well have something to do with Teyvat's origins before Celestia too, that which involves Phanes

pls summarize genshin lore like you're explaining it to a 5 year old, i am very dumb

Well first things first, Genshin lore is like actual real life history in that it's full of unreliable narrators and limited perspectives. Also the world is extensive, so we gotta go specific here even for a summary

But for a general overview of Teyvat:

  • The Primordial One went to Teyvat and defeated the 7 dragon lords that ruled it and established a place for humanity.
  • There used to be a unified civilization across Teyvat (includes Enkanomiya and the ruins in the Chasm)
  • It's unknown when it happened, but there were 3 Moon Sisters that change places in the sky. After a marriage between a seelie and an outlander, a calamity struck, the sisters fought, and one of their corpses is the moon we see
  • Seelies lost their form and became those wisps we follow back to their courts
  • There was also a war between the Primordial One and the Second Who Came and sent a part of the unified civilization into the abyss as collateral (Enkanomiya)
  • Eventually, Celestia came into power and opened 7 divine seats. The gods within each of the 7 regions fought for a place there and become an archon during what's called the Archon War
  • About 2 thousand years prior to the game's story, the Archon War ended and The Seven Archons ruled each of the 7 regions, vowing to guide humanity (they also meet up for drinks in Liyue sometimes)
  • Over the centuries, some of the Archons were replaced until only 4 of the original group were left (Morax, Barbatos, Baal, and Rukhhadevata)
  • 500 years before the game's story, the Traveller twins arrived. An underground civilization not ruled by a god, Khaenri'ah gets destroyed during what's called the Cataclysm where there was an outbreak of abyssal monsters that then spread throughout Teyvat (possibly caused by the alchemist Gold). People of Khaenri'ah were also cursed by gods . Baal and Rukhhadevata both die during this time and the Travellers are separated by the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles

And of course, this is all very barebones as there's also things going on in each region at the same time, so feel free to ask for lore on more specific things you wanna know

... if Venti is the son/was created by Istaroth... does that mean that he's technically the nephew of the Primordial One?

Let's take the family tree position a step back and say the Primordial One is technically Venti's grandparent, since part of them became Istaroth, who in turn has a part becoming Venti

Though it could also be argued that the four shades are simultaneously the Primordial One, so their relationship would be in a kinda lateral sense. Then Istaroth would create Venti and he'll be technically the nephew in this sense

This could get more convoluted, but yeah

What do you think about Phanes/The Primordial One, the Four Shining Shades and The Second Who Came, and their relation with Venti?

I really like the concept of Istaroth as the fourth shade, splitting off from The Primordial One, then Venti splitting off from Istaroth like they're some sort of tree. Like, you cut a branch, plant it, and then it also becomes a tree (or Venti is a seed that sprouted from a silly little Istaroth branch, since he looked like a flower as a wisp, and flowers turn into fruits, which have seeds. He also looks like a fruit. Like a floating spectre. I think). Kinda fits with the "Istaroth is the leyline system itself" theory.

Running off with the tree analogy, I'm personally in the camp of Celestia as The Second Who Came and Venti is a tree in their backyard they found in a wasteland.

(Also, I feel like the Sustainer could have been a shade of The Primordial One too since she sustains the Heavenly Principles, and erosion may possibly be one of those principles. Erosion, something Time and Wind does. Tho all that is still speculation)

I love so much your animation about Venti and Istaroth, it's absolutely gorgeous!

But I'm slightly confused about what happened in the end, could you explain please?

Thank you! :D

Okay, so the ending was meant to be open-ended and up for interpretation, but here's what I had in mind while making it:

Basically, in the final verse, it's a callback to how the video started, except this time, it appears to be currently happening as Istaroth makes direct contact with the viewer

The entire video is more or less revealed to have been Istaroth talking about herself and Venti towards the Traveller when she looks in disdain and the subtitle has this final "you" colored in gold, the Traveller's color.

As for the sequence before the final verse, it's mostly a recollection of how things went, ending with Venti eroding the sundial and then going into slumber, returning to Istaroth as represented by the dandelion seed she catches.

Hope this helps ^ ^

Hi! I just wanted to say that I love you Venti and Istaroth animatic so much. The art is all beautiful! I've always loved the headcanon that Venti and Istaroth share some connection, and your characterization of Istaroth even in just the few flashes we see of her is so lovely.

JSVDJBSKVF OMG THANKS!!

I mostly tried to do her in a more ambiguous light with a lot of 'probably' considering how she's described as every moment. Dunno how well it was conveyed, but I'm glad you liked it, hehe ^ ^
