So, I can definitely tell you that Dick wasn’t the only “high end” Talon around the Court. I’ve left some very smol Easter eggs scattered throughout Owl Song hinting at other Talons and their involvement in Dick’s training/upbringing, but as of now there aren’t any concrete identities to pin to those Talons.
But considering my love for Calvin, it’s safe to assume he’s around somewhere. As for either we’ll see him in Owl Song… that’s still up in the air 👀🦉

I also like imagining a batfamily au where Bruce has amnesia and one of the boys (Dick or Jason) mainly tries to get him to remember before something bad happens

Amnesia fics are either a hit or miss for me. It’s just that special brand of angst with the potential to leave you in shambles or apply superglue to your poor soul. But yeah, in Bruce’s case I’m a sucker for Jason’s revenge plans going off the rail and leaving Bruce with amnesia by accident.
And now he’s somehow gotta explain to his mildly concussed dad nemesis that, no, he’s NOT his son anymore! (And consequently have to endure the manly tears of Bruce going “oh, so… you didn’t want me to adopt you? No, no! I get it, that’s absolutely fine, Jaylad.“ and so on) just- so many misunderstandings that are mostly light hearted from Bruce’s side and absolutely GUTTING if looked at from Jay’s POV

Ive recently been re listening to Epic the musical and thought "Ruthlessness" song has some things that MockingJay would say to the batfam .
For example
"You fight to save lives , but wont kill to get the job done."(referring to Jason's death)
"I mean you totally could avoided all this had you just killed for once" (about the Joker )
Also i imagine Jason listening to "monster" and just sobbing .
You can bet that MJ can quote a LOT of lyrical thanks to Jason’s obsession with anything drama/theater related. It used to be one of the features that annoyed him the most about his new caretaker, but he’s now found a way to weaponize it against the batfam AND make Jason laugh. It’s a 2 for 1 kinda deal 😎

The thing I like most about all your writing is that Jason matters without it being a revocable or conditional thing. His value as a person is not invalidated by his violence and his pain is not easier for me to stomach when he is in the wrong. It is so nice that your versions of Jason are not loved less when they clash with their families but rather all their other emotions are layered on top. It is so clear how much the characters care about one another even in the worst circumstances and it is equally clear how much respect and dedication you have for them. I have no idea how you plan to handle things as your stories unfold but I would trust your choices over anyone who has worked at dc in the past ten years.

Honestly it’s such an alien concept for me the way current canon Bruce works?? Like, love for your children in general shouldn’t be conditional. That’s what parental love is all about. But that might just be my rose tinted glasses speaking >.<
I’m really happy my love for the characters shines through even if they’re not portrayed as particularly good/in the traditional hero sense ✨✨✨
