Hello!!! While my obsession with Ossan's Love has already considerably calmed down in the past few years (especially after TV Asahi betrayed me loljk), I'm very happy whenever I see that some people are still currently discovering and loving this drama, so thank you very much for your message, it made me smile! 💕 It has a very special place in my heart and I still think it deserves more recognition (at least from overseas, since it's already well-recognized in Japan after all lol) after paving the way to more mainstream (and better produced) Japanese BL or MLM shows that a lot of fans get to enjoy now.

I also didn't expect to love it as much as I did so I can very much understand your feelings!! 😆 I'm glad Netflix recommended it to you!

Although I'm still very much hoping for a season 2 of Haruta and Maki's love story so please help me pray for that!! 😂😂

I'm not as updated as I used to be way back in 2018-2019 when it comes to Kento's activities so I think it's my first time to see Kento mentioning "Ossan's Love" in an interview which is not meant to promote OL. 🥺🥺🥺

This makes me teary eyed.... 🥺

OMG Kento also mentioned Kei in a TV interview!!! EEEEEEHHH IS THIS A DREAM????

I swear I've never heard him talk about Kei outside of OL activities too (although Kei always used to talk about him in interviews after OL)!!

It seems Kento mentioned they're still doing muscle training (going to gym??), having meals together, and him playing with Kei's kids.

They're still getting along well, now I'm just not teary eyed, ugly sobbing now. 😭😭😭

I renewed my Netflix subscription few weeks ago (to watch the new Rurouni Kenshin movie) and today I finally got to watch Kento's movie "Cherry Boys" (and legally at that haha).

I've been avoiding it even though I tried to watch as many Kento dramas/movies as possible (especially after Ossan's Love) because it seems like a trashy movie based on the trailer I saw way back in 2018, and I'M SO SORRY KENTO, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY REALLY BAD. OTL

I'm just so happy that Kento got really big after OL (I mean, he already had a handful of projects before OL but some of them were a bit questionable haha), in my mind it means he never has to accept trashy projects like "Cherry Boys" ever again ("Cherry Boys" was shown in cinemas few months before OL started airing). XD

#the movie should actually come with trigger warnings#it's that bad#i hope netflix will put kento's post-OL movies though

I suddenly missed Ossan's Love so I re-watched everything last weekend and then I tried to check the OL tags here in Tumblr and Twitter out of curiosity and I'm surprised to see that it's now full of updates for the HK version...

It feels like Haruta and Maki are drifting farther away from me... :(((((

(The tag used to be filled with In The Sky updates and now it's filled with HK updates... *sighs*)

A little bit late but I've finally finished my "Kira-sama Outfits of the Episode" collection. 🔥 Outfits from episode 1-5 here~

Aside from "Colorful Love" being such a cute and wonderful drama, I'll be forever grateful that it showed me Renn wearing outfits I've never thought I'd see him in! 💖 Few months ago I thought it'd be great if he'll get casted as a band member again so I can see him wearing unique outfits more, but Colorful Love already fulfilled that dream for me (even exceeded all expectations) lol.

Kira-sama is the best! ✨✨✨✨

Okay Renn, I love you, I really do, but I don't think I'm gonna survive watching 9 more episodes of this drama lol (if I'm not mistaken, there should be 10 episodes??). I mean aside from the fact that I'm still not used to watching you doing kiss scenes even though you're seriously good at it (I mean after OjiKawa, AoVam and Colorful Love which are the very definition of wholesome, it would take some time for me to be comfortable watching you in a drama with LOTS of kiss scenes), the story is just.... not my cup of tea (I can even say stories like this is my least favorite). I actually read the first chapter of the manga months ago as I got curious about this new role of yours and I seriously cringed and didn't bother reading more chapters anymore hahaha (no offense to people who enjoy stories like this, it's more of personal preference).

I thought maybe they'd tweak the story/script a bit to fit a live-action setting (you know, make it a bit more realistic compared to manga setting) but no, they seem to follow the manga quite faithfully (I guess because the drama script was also supervised by the manga author? Although this would be pleasing to most of the manga fans, maybe...), and some parts even became more rushed perhaps to fit into a 30-minute drama with 10 episodes only.

Of course I'll still continue to watch this until the very end because Renn is too hot and handsome here lol, but on a more serious note, I'm praying that this drama will do more good to Renn than harm. It's being streamed in various overseas platforms too so I hope this will become a way for Renn to be known to a wider audience and will help him gain more supporters who will eventually become interested in his other works which showcase his acting prowess better and have a much more decent plot than this.

But I also hope the story will still get better moving forward since now there's no story lol because as far as I can see, a lot of people are already uncomfortable with how things escalated too quickly and how illogical some settings are. While understandable because I also feel that way (I somehow already expected such reactions when I read the manga), as a fan of Renn of course I'm sad to read such negative feedback for a drama he's currently starring in (although of course there are also good feedback, the negative ones kinda linger).

And after this I hope Renn won't accept dramas like this anymore lol.

Because I'm currently obsessed with Renn playing as Kira-sama in "Colorful Love", I had to summarize the outfits he has been wearing per episode for my own contentment. 🤓
