Le Petit Frimeur

I’m back at my dad’s place for the weekend and tiny ants keep crawling across the floor--just one or two at a time, but enough over a two day period that you start to think “Okay, where are they coming in ??”

I didn't find their entrance hole, but I did find a delightful little boy in a web. It had at least fifteen ant bodies under it and one stuck in the web itself, so before I returned to my search I made sure to tell Georg Danielsen what a g’boy he is 😊

(He’s named after the Spiders Georg meme, and also Daniel Antslayer, who, despite being smaller than the ants he devoured, set up his web before the entrance to their lair and did his best to help keep our home pest-free while I still lived here two years ago. Rest in peace, you magnificent little multi-legged bastard)

This ladybug has been sitting in that one place on the wall for so long, I’ve named him and outlined his usual spot on the wall.

Normally I catch these guys and put them outside, but with how cold it has been lately that is basically an instant death sentence. So Spotty stays for now.

I found a caterpillar! And it moved slowly enough for me to get a video! Gooooood day!

Number eleven: favorite animal. Marcia frickin loves ladybugs. I based her pose off of Mabel's "light up sweater" pose from the theme sequence because honestly, it is confident and happy body language.

Oh. My god.

What is this strange creature? Does anyone know? It looked like a centipede and a silverfish had a baby, didn't feel very dense (I gently scooped it into a tissue to put it outside), and had stripey legs.
