can we talk about the fact that bess marvin was GROUNDED but she heard nancy’s parents arguing over the walkie talkie so she snuck out and came over to make sure nancy was okay. at maybe nine or ten years old, bess had a heart made of pure gold and would sacrifice her own well-being (because who likes angry parents?) to make sure her best friend was okay.
Bess truly is that ride or die friend! George too. ❤️
