You thought Stefan was lying when he told you that vampire and human relationships were difficult. He told you that it took a lot of effort to stay with Elena the way he was and you still wouldn't listen to him. As a result you hurt Matt, the only one you ever really loved. You were pretty sure he hated you and wanted nothing to do with you. Elena says that since Matt is the only one who doesn't know how to handle being the only human out of the group, he shelters himself away.

When Matt actually answered the phone after trying to get a hold of him all day. "Matt! Thank god you're okay-" You cradled your face with your hand. "I'm so sorry...About what happened. Look-" But Matt didn't respond as happily as you had hoped. He sounded stressed and disappointed.

"Come on Stefan, please!" You grabbed your brother's arm as you approached the front door to the boarding house. Matt followed silently and Stefan just ignored you with the lube in his hand.

"Stef!" Damon greeted from the fire, alcohol in his hand as usual. "Matt?" He questioned and looked over at you. "And my baby sister, looking awful red in the cheeks." He sipped the last of the contents in the glass and crossed his arms, his brows furrowed together. "With lube in my litter brother's hand-"
