“Y/N...please just give Enzo some time. He’ll text you when he’s ready.” Damon argued on the other line. “Don’t roll your eyes either young lady I know you did.” That’s exactly what she did. “Look he’s going through a rough patch right now and it’s not really my business to tell. He’ll tell you when he’s ready. But he did tell me to tell you he loves you very much.”

“Wait...Damon please...” She begged and covered her eyes with her hand. “Just wait a second...”

“Mhmm bye bye now.” And like that she was off the phone. Wow. Damon hung up on her. She’s really going to slap him next time she sees him. Regardless she had to grab her keys and get ready for her last day of school before summer vacation. She smoothed down her sun dress and smiled in the mirror, flipping her beautiful long hair over her shoulder and fixing the strap of her bag over her shoulder and bouncing down the stairs, out the front door and to her car.

Everything was perfect, dinner, Enzo, the lights, the restaurant. The way you were both dressed. How he promised he would make love to you just for Valentine's day. You were content and happy and didn't want to spend this night with anybody else. Enzo watched you finish the last few bites of your meal and wipe your mouth. "Is there something in my teeth?" Your face was red, but Enzo started to laugh.

"Not at all, Love. Sometimes I can't take my eyes off of you. It's the silliest little things that remind me why I love you." You placed a hand over your heart. Tonight he was extra sweet. Not that he isn't sweet before, but Valentines Day with Enzo is always quiet and romantic. He was rummaging through his wallet for his credit card and handing the bill and the card to the waitress as she skimmed by.

"What do you have there, Gorgeous?" Your attention directed onto the vampire in front of you rather than your magazine. It was hot outside, but the air conditioner in the boarding house was much better than the sticky and humid air. So you curled up on the sofa with a water and a magazine and read until you were most recently interrupted. "A magazine?" Enzo asked with false excitement. Your nod confirmed this for him even though he already knew what it was. "Magazines contain nothing but lies, why won't you read something more...educational?"

Your furrowed your brows up at him and closed the pages. "Because I hate to read novels. They're boring and long, and sometimes they're confusing." You rolled your eyes. "Why don't you ever read? Instead of bothering me all the time?" Enzo slapped a hand to his chest, pretending his offense. "What do you want Enzo? I'm serious this time. What else is up your sleeve?" You pressed and he sat down next to you, much too close for your liking.

You just couldn’t believe how ridiculous Enzo was being. Just because you hung out with your friends for a day doesn’t mean you were tired of your relationship. It was nice to get some time away for a little bit.

You tugged Enzo by his wrist into your front door, pushing him against the wall roughly with your fists holding his shirt tight. Your brothers Stefan and Damon had left to take care of Heretic business, and that meant you could spend much needed time with your boyfriend Enzo.

Enzo automatically reached for your hips, pulling you into his hips and kissing you with need and passion. The last time you had done anything intimate with him was a month ago, and that was because Damon was home any time you invited Enzo over, or Stefan was waiting at his house to discuss business with him. That meant no sex at his place either. And it truly amazed you with how much you could crave another person’s body.

“I’m one of your good friends, Damon. You won’t scare me. I can’t believe you actually tied me up to get answers.” Damon poked the knife at you in a playful yet jabbing motion.
