“Do you have a death wish, Y/N?” Elijah lifted the fragile human over his shoulder and placed her gently into the passenger seat of his car. She was cold, her eye was black and blue. She deserved this. How could she ever disobey Kol like that? What had gotten into her? “If Kol had found you...” Just the mention of her boyfriend’s name sent her head into a whirl. 

Elijah rounded the car and opened the driver’s door and slipped in with ease. “What were you thinking?” Elijah was who she’d rather explain to, he was so calm. Kol on the other hand... “Y/N-” His voice cracked. “Please”

Blacked Out

Y/N quickly picked up her pace as she walked down the street. Glancing behind her she saw two men trying to keep up with her. They were much larger and she hadn’t any time to call anybody for help. No she was independent and needed to do this on her own. She closed her eyes and willed her fear away and ducked into a damp alley. 

It was then she realized it was a dead end. Her chase would end here. Her mind was lost on thinking of a way out until she heard a gruff voice behind her. “The other vampires tell us that you are forbidden. Locked away by the Mikaelsons.” The other vampire laughed at her when she spun around with a sharp gasp. They were closing in on her. “They say your blood can heal anything yet...you’re just human. You donate your blood to hospitals as a way to cure cancer and potentially much more. Y/N, honey....drinking your blood could give us quite the power boost.”

The T.V. blared in the background while you lay on your bed texting your friends, Bonnie, Caroline and Elena about their plans for Valentine's Day. You were supposed to go out with Kol tonight, but your parents didn't know you had a boyfriend so you'd have to sneak around. Elena was going out with Stefan and Caroline was staying home with Tyler to watch movies and cuddle. But the sex jokes resumed. Bonnie had plans to just stay in and maybe hang out with Damon since they were single and good friends.

Soon your messages were left unread, your phone lighting up every five seconds from the spamming conversation of your friends. You napped for a while and then moped around when you woke up to the sound of taps on your window. Your parents were downstairs so it couldn't be them at your door. So you sighed and pushed yourself off of the bed and pulled your curtains back to reveal Kol sitting on the window ledge.

Breakfast

"Kol, do you know where the Civil War books are?" Your nails tapped the desk where he was sitting and reading a grimoire. Kol looked up and set the old book down and then smiled sweetly up at you. Which by the way was very unusual. "Why do you look like that? what did you do?" You narrowed your eyes and when he stood, you stared straight up at him sternly.

"Now Y/N, why do you always assume I've done something?" But you crossed your arms. "I just think it a little silly that you use my family library to research the Civil War when you could just ask us yourself." He rolled his eyes. "We were all there you know."

Unfamiliar Feelings

Kol silently coaxed you forward with the flick of his index finger. Everything about being physical with somebody was unfamiliar to you. Your palms started sweating like crazy and you reached out to either side of your body, grasping the bed sheets below you. Kol looked up at you with his big brown eyes, his face between your legs and his tongue working at your clit. He rested his hands on your hips and held you down to the bed. “Kol-” You trailed off.

Your lungs were about to collapse and your thighs were aching as your legs carried you through half of the town and down the dark street where you knew your friend lived. There was no time for screaming but all the time in the world for crying, a vampire was after you and you had no idea who it was.

The best part was that you were human so you had no way to protect yourself, obviously that's why you were running. You finally dropped to your knees against your friend's house and panted to try and catch your breath. It actually felt like your body was caving in on itself. "Please don't." You sobbed and your tears fell harder when you saw a dark figure approaching you.

You threw your backpack down to the kitchen table with a frustrated huff and completely ignored your boyfriend Kol who was waiting at the front door with his lips puckered and waiting for a kiss. He was beyond frustrated these past few weeks. Your exams were taking over your mind and while you felt bad, being in honors classes were important too.

Kol's brows were raised in surprised and he found himself walking up to you and running his hands over the paperwork you pulled from your bag. "Sorry Kol, this class is important and if I fail the exam I can't be in honors classes anymore. Not to mention I'll lose being in the honor roll crap."

"Of course." He knitted his brows together and read your spanish class study guide. "But I can help you with this." He pointed to the silly words and shook his head. "Now I realize a silly piece of paper with scribbles on it holds greater value than I do." Kol squared his shoulders and he was hurt.

You looked up from your backpack that was flooding with papers and stepped away from the bag. "I'm really sorry. They aren't better than you or greater. You're important to me, really important and you know that. Everytime I bring home something to study with you get jealous of paper, Kol." You took a step at him.

"But I just wanted a kiss, I wasn't asking for a busy date or anything." He shook his head and you placed your hands on his cheeks, rubbing his smooth jawline with a large smile on your face and pulled him down for a kiss. You hummed in satisfaction and pulled away, the both of you smiling at each other happily. "That's all I asked for." He whispered and you spun to collect your papers and he rolled his eyes.

Kol decided to spin away and let you study, feeling neglected and bored as he didn't have you next to him the rest of the night or your attention when he made dinner. You were just too consumed in your studying to even notice his efforts to get your attention.
