I am very excited and happy about this project. I have been writing the story for a long time and I will adapt it to a comic. I had problems with my previous comics because of the continuity of the stories, at some point they seemed very absurd or repetitive, that's why I decided to write the story first and then adapt it. Sorry it took me longer this time to reply, although, I gotta warn you, it’ll probably take me even longer to answer to your next ask because there are A LOT of things I gotta think about.

So regarding this twist in the story, don’t worry. It’s still pretty easy to work with.
Basically, if Barb’s lover is Riff and she becomes friends with Poppy then we only gotta change the Rivals Poppy & Barb trope to Wingwomen Poppy & Barb!
With this scenario I can see Poppy stumbling upon Barb and Riff when the two are being intimate with each other (the intensity of the intimacy is up to you). And when Barb notices they’ve been busted she uses Poppy’s not-so-subtle feelings for her fiancé to her advantage.
“If you help me get together with Rafael, Poppy, I’ll help you win Louis-Benoit over.”
“...Deal.”
Not like Poppy needs to find a way to woo Branch, though. It’s plain as daylight to Barb the young prince’s smitten with the Spaniard ray of Mediterranean sunshine. But since Poppy seems to be oblivious and that’ll mean spending some extra time with Riff, she’s not complaining.
From that day forward, both girls would be looking for openings that’ll allow the other to have some alone time with their respective beau. And it is high-key Barb’s doing that Poppy and Branch unexpectedtly find themselves in several of those instances that mess them up regarding their feelings that I previously mentioned.
