Meteora The Halfbreed Sorceress

I haven’t really seen any AUs talking about the idea of Meteora actually becoming Queen of Mewni when it was her time, so I felt like doing one myself!

In this AU, whatever happened that got Eclipsa imprisoned, happens again. Only that this time, when the Magic High Commission presented Meteora to King Shastacan, instead of following his rules and finding a replacement for her, Glossaryck refused and told the king and his partners that giving the throne and the wand to a non-Butterfly would cause all magic to weaken as a result (since Baby hadn’t seen an affinity to it like Star’s since Eclipsa). And so, the only option would be to keep the child and raise her to fulfill her destiny.

Even so, they wouldn’t free Eclipsa and Globgor causing Meteora to live practically by herself. The only real company or ally she’d have would be Glossaryck because of Shastacan’s disdain towards her and the MHC wouldn’t (or aren’t, for that matter) be too keen to monsters either. Even at a young age she’d perfectly feel the hatred and fear her subjects would have of her. 

“A monster princess/queen! The audacity!”

All she would have to feel loved would be her dolls and Glossaryck’s tales of her parents undying love for her. And with only that she’d smile. 

Over her pre-teen years she would earn the nickname of “The Halfbreed” as a constant reminder of her heritage, extremely dear to her but a shame to “her” people.

On her fourteenth birthday, she obtained the wand, and his mentor and father figure, Glossaryck (of course), finally revealed her whole backstory to her. Shocked by her family’s past and many hardships, her resentment to Mewmans would grow stronger and deeper than ever, but not as much as her determination to prove herself and to bring honor to her mother’s name. Starting by learning magic, and uniting Mewmans and monsters alike, for she herself was a symbol of love and peace between both species. And because no other Mewman was aware of how it felt to be treated as if you were a mistake made by Mother Nature.

Over the years she’d learn to combine dark magic, a talent she inherited from her mother, and light magic, to keep her people at ease. And, even if it took her years to achieve it, she succeded in joining the citizens of Mewni and monsters together.

Thanks to her spells and hardworking nature, she would gain her people’s respect, and later on, her nickname,“The Halfbreed”, would become her royal title, in honor of her unique story and the origins of Mewni’s cohabitation. 

And so, Meteora The Halfbreed Sorceress was born.
