I, too, would go to the ends of the planet and through space and time just to get my dog back (or my cat, or any pet, really) and not some romantic partner. Like, the audacity to even think otherwise.

Considering we willingly walk the dog, clean up their shit as well as the cat's, feed them, take them to medical appointments, tend to their every whim, and the like... I've got to say the line between pets being our babies or our masters is very thin...
