Nothing like a broken heart to bleed ink

Thinking 'bout Sergei the Snail from Phineas and Ferb and how Doofenshmirtz recognised him immediately, which suggests he's been sent to deal with Heinz before, and how the usual hatless Perry = platypus, but Hat-on Perry = PERRY THE PLATYPUS?!?!? would go and now all I can see is that exact same situation with Doof being like:

"A snail?"

*Sergei proceeds to put on his hat very, very, very, very slowly*

*After a Sponge Bob Time-skip worthy amount of time in which Heinz is convinced some random snail has suddenly presented himself in his apartment*

"SERGEI THE SNAIL?!?!?"

Watching a long-running series where time passes more slowly, if at all, is wild because you start watching the show when you're younger or the same age as the characters and look up to or relate to them, and by the time it ends you're older than them and have adopted them all as your children. Like, wtf.

I keep saying the greatest achievement of Phineas & Ferb has to be, by far, that they taught an entire generation of kids all around the world how the plastic thingy in the shoelaces is called.

Everybody who watched the show knows what an aglet is!

Two years ago, my class (16-17 year-olds by then) played Taboo a few times. Every single time the word aglet appeared at least once. The moment it appeared, the whole class immediately yelled "Aglet!"

This show did that.

And I insist, what makes it even crazier is that it taught kids all over the world! Now the word aglet is known in probably as many languages as countries the show aired on!

So, let's play a game. I'm curious. Type down how you say Aglet in your language and your language. I'll start.

Spanish: herrete

One of the best things about Phineas & Ferb has to be that they managed to make Perry a silent deadpan snarker. They took a voiceless character and made him witty, snarky, and sarcastic without saying a single word. Some of his expressions when dealing with Doof's antics speak volumes!

Anyway, Phineas & Ferb is one of the best shows ever. Period.
