Its been a week since Lila returned to her class and Marinette doesn't know how she avoided an Akuma for that long, she tried ‘be the biggest person’ like Adrien said but Lila was making her life miserable, okay she got her seat back, and everything was normal until it was time to go, at this point she was tired of the same absurd stories, Alya always tried to put them together when it was obvious both other them didn’t like each other.
it was like that for a good amount of time until Lila got bored. “Hey Marinette, where are you going so fast? would come and hear about this, Alya told me you were interested in fashion” said Lila with the innocent voice she hated.
“I'm sorry but I have things to do, I can’t stay.” Marinette replied trying really hard to keep her cool.
“Marinette c’mon, Lila is telling us about her time as Gabriel’s protege” responded Alya coming close to her. “Maybe this will get you to close, you know something in common!” said Alya in her ear.
At this point, Marinette was getting Akuma angry. She was starting to get involved in her interests, like taking her friends wasn’t enough.
“Okay, tell me all about it Lila.” responded Marinette curious of what lies she was gonna make all of her classmates believe.
“Oh Mari, I’ve heard you are into fashion, and that’s just adorable, you know its a really hard industry to get in, but I can help you since for a while I was mentored by none other than Gabriel during fashion week in Milan where I'm from.” Marinette couldn't believe that she was saying that or how she found out he was her idol. “He has really hard standards, you need to be super talented to even be around him, I'm sure you can get there in a few years.” Okay, she literally insulted her and nobody noticed, she was fuming but she had to at least say something to not give her the satisfaction.
“So how did he mentor you with such high standards, Lila. Tell me all about it”
“Well Mari sweetie, he was highly impressed with my model skills and my sense of fashion he couldn’t resist, practically wanted me to work with him but I couldn't accept. since I always wanted to live like a normal teenager, but I still have contact if you are interested.”
“Wow, Lila you are so nice! helping Marinette like that” ‘even though she is jealous’ heard Mylene say and whisper to Alix.
At this point Marinette was done with all of this, she walked to the restroom or somewhere far from her lies, she heard Alya screamed something at her but she wasn’t listening, she had her head down, she was already stressed enough with the first Akuma being so close to her and being sure she was always positive because she had Paris relying on her. She bumped into someone, without really looking she apologized and walked faster. Now in the restroom, she looked herself in the mirror while Tikki got out of her purse.
“I can’t do this anymore Tikki, if I keep this up I'm gonna end up exploding and becoming an Akuma.”
“Marinette you’ve come so far! I’m sure everything will get better!” said hiding in Marinette’s purse when she heard someone at the door. Marinette didn’t look up.
“Are you alright?” Said a neutral voice.
