Yeah, hi… Just a little question: WHY THE FUCK DOES SHE KEEP THE NECKLACE IF SHE AIN’T GONNA USE IT?!?!

Why was this image flagged? Because she showed her '''''''' cleaveage''''''?

I know it doesn't say it flagged, I had it checked before I edited this.

What frustrates me about episodes like Volpina or Chameleon is that they don't really portray Marinette as the badass, hella smart girl that she is.

Marinette's canonically a super smart girl, and the "lucky charm vision" is only there to explain her train of thought, meaning she comes up with all the solutions to defeat a villain herself. The same goes with her civilian identity, she was clever enough to put a secret signature in her designs to prove they were hers (and she didn't even know Chloé would try to steal them!) or to create a safe place to put her diary in.

And yet, everytime Lila has screentime, all that intelligence and wit suddenly vanish! She's actually sharper when Lila's akumatised instead of when she's just a mere girl!

Think about it, in Volpina, the best solution she came up with to get rid of her was harshly calling her out (which backfire since a) Lila became a serious threat and b) she ended up being the one who was scolded by Adrien), in Catalyst she used the Internet to expose Lila, and she only found something that was, admittedly, not very hard to cover up with another lie. And in Chameleon, every idea she had only resulted in her as the bad guy.

Seriously, where's all that wit when you really need it?

Lila seriously needs a redemption arc.

Don't get me wrong. I personally hate the girl with a passion and would never even let her see a miraculous from afar, she got to see the Miraculous book and that's already too much.

But, let's be honest, she's such an unhealthy character! According to Catalyst, she's spent months locked up in her room looking at Ladybug-related news and letting her hatred towards her grow. That's just creepy...

And let's not forget how she's convinced her mother school's closed because of all the akumas. Um, hello? You live in freaking Miraculous Universe Paris ?? That's like saying school's closed in Russia because there's snow! Not to mention, in a way, her akumatised form is one of those which caused more panic and chaos. I mean, she terrified Paris with her illusions and almost succeded at getting Ladybug's miraculous... That's dangerous~

If you told me she refuses to go to school because everyone knows about her compulsive lying, I could understand. But that's not the case. Quite the opposite, actually! Only Adrien and Marinette are aware of this, for obvious reasons. The rest of the class believes pretty much everything she says and considers her an amazing, good-natured person.

When it turns out she's jealous, sneaky, proud, deceitful and extremely selfish. If you wrong her, even if she wronged you first, it's a dead end for you! She'll hate you for a very long time.

Just like Ladybug said in Volpina, Lila practically believes her lies are real, and hates it when someone dare to say otherwise. Hence, her spite towards Ladybug.

And, okay, it's true Mari hasn't really let go either since she tried to expose her again as herself, and I gotta say Alya's comment, although on point to some extent, really bothered me, there's much more than just jealousy. Marinette is one of the two people in all of Paris who's got to see her real self. And even if it's dangerous to try and expose her again, she is right for trying to let her peers know of the truth! We don't know the real extent to Lila's possibilities to hurt people in the future.

But I'm getting off topic.

What I wanted to say when I mentioned Marinette is that, despite there's some clear bad blood between them, she doesn't let her personal feelings cloud her mind. She goes on with her life and tries to live it to the fullest.

Lila clearly doesn't.

Whenever she gets akumatised she always says it'll be a pleasure to help Hawk Moth. Like, girl, get yourself a life! It's not normal that the biggest joy in a 14-year-old girl's life is to help a villain in defeating the local heroes!

That's why she needs to learn her lesson, try to be a bit more honest, with everybody including herself, and let go of the anger. I'm not asking for her to become a hardcore Ladybug fan, but, at least, forget about the whole Volpina thing. It's really not worth it...

And, if she keeps on like that, one day, she will have to deal with something way bigger than being called a liar in front of her crush: like being attacked by an akuma who's been hurt/humiliated by her deception.

That should be all. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
