... it's been 10 years.
Ah, what a scene *coughs*
LE-GEN-DA-RY
How ironic that in season 1 Raph would criticize and scold Leo for his whole Karai situation, putting too much faith in the enemy, wanting her to be on his side, believing there is good in her despite her literally trying to kill him.
Jump to season 4 and the roles are now switched. Raph believes there’s good in Mona Lisa and wants to team up with her and wants her to be on his side despite her literally trying to kill him like a hour ago, but Leo criticizes and scolds him!
Raph says “Don’t flirt with the enemy” yet he goes and breaks his own rule seasons later and Leo sees through his bullsh!t
The only difference is that one of these boys actually succeeds with their crush
Things also got harsher in hindsight when The Evil of Dregg premiered.
As right as Raph was back then about Karai not being trustworthy, something she even agreed with, he still had his fun teasing Leo about trusting her and scolded him for letting her cloud his better judgement again in The Wrath of Tiger Claw. Only to have the tables turn on him when the girl he loves and trusted almost from the beginning and seemed worthy of that trust betrayed him for someone who wasn't trustworthy at all.
I swear, these parallels are all I could think about when The Moons of Thalos 3 and The Evil of Dregg premiered.
Ah, what a scene *coughs*
These Turtles developing bonds with their girls!
