Uhhh, I don't know if I'm grasping at straws or, on the contrary, just pointing out the obvious, but what if, aside from the obvious attempt at representing/parodying a teenager that is into everything alternative and "progressive", Sam is actually intended as an expy of the Hex Girls?

I mean, the girls identified themselves as Eco-goths and were clearly feminists, all three things Sam is supposed to always be preaching about. They're all somehow related to the supernatural, and...

Just look at them, dude!

So it's Halloween already, and what best way to celebrate it than to talk about Scooby Doo's Hex Girls?

So a while back I saw this post, and I have been thinking about it ever since. Because it's right! The introduction of the Hex Girls is a historical moment in lesbianism! And not only because you look at them and say, "...Damn, I think I'm gay." Even. When. You. Already. Knew. You. Are. Gay.

But also because those three are an icon!

I stg, never, in my whole life, have I been able to think, even just as a silly headcanon no one cares about, that the girls would or are probably dating a guy. I can't even imagine it!

When I look at those three all I see is three girls in a loving, badass, hella talented wlw polyamorous relationship with each other.

And I will die on this hill!

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and happy Halloween!
