How long has the Danny Phantom fandom been going on now? And do you think The Owl House can last the same way?
As far as I'm concerned, the Phandom has been going strong since 2004, when the show first premiered.
You gotta admit, the premise is incredibly interesting and offers endless possibilities to explore and ponder about.
As for The Owl House, I haven't watched it myself, but maybe?
As good as the ending seemed to be, I can only imagine how unsatisfied many fans were given the last season was so cruelly reduced to 3-4 special episodes? So any loose ends Dana and her team couldn't work on, they might try to solve themselves.
That and the general desire to know what happens next, to explore the main cast's life on Earth before going back to the Boiling Isles (is that the right name?), and just general fandom curiosity might help keep the fandom alive for a long time.
But even if it doesn't necessarily outlive the source material for nearly two decades like Danny Phantom and its fandom has done, then I guess it should at least be like Steven Universe? In the sense that maybe its presence is not as prevalent as when it was still airing, but it still left an impactful mark on its fans for years to come.
