Week Seventy Eight
auughhh zim doesnt even like. notice. EXCEPT HE DOES ACTUALLY NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT. CONSIDER:
EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO HAS WORSHIPED ZIM HAS BEEN ASS-HANDED BY ZIM HIMSELF. HE FREAKS THE FUCK OUT WHENEVER SOMEONE HAS A HIGH ENOUGH OPINION OF HIM TO FOLLOW HIM AROUND. HES PARANOID AND WANTS TO BE WORSHIPED BUT GETS SCARED WHENEVER HES ACTUALLY GIVEN THE ATTENTION HE SEEKS
EXCEPT FOR SKOODGE.
EXHIBIT A: SMEETS. i mean does it even need said. zim was the one who reached out to skoodge, by inviting him to go to the surface together. he was just the one who agreed.
EXHIBIT B: LIVING IN THE WALLS. why does zim not kick him out after this. he complains about skoodge but he is not scared of him. his existence (and the knowledge of him existing for a while) doesnt spark on any of zims paranoid thoughts/delusions/whatevers that he has when regarding most other people. hes just pissy and annoyed with skoodges success.
EXHIBIT C: thats actually all my exhibits but imagine for a second that its reciprocated. whatever it is that they have. rotate that thought around in your mind. you done that? good. now rotate them kissing sloppy
These are the two immediate examples i can think of where he gets the literal one thing hes looking for and in both cases he refuses to accept it. its like it doesnt even register to him that this is what he wants because hes just overloaded with all this bullshit from everyone singing his praises and it short circuits his tiny little brain and his PAK and . he doesnt know what to do with it. so he does nothing. without fail. every time.
AND NOW: REACTIONS TO SKOODGE
He does ignore skoodge (similar with the amoeba) but he doesnt disregard him completely. hes still registered in his head at least a little bit as important or memorable. worth remembering
he gets frustrated with him but he's not especially perturbed by his meandering about inside his base. i think it helps that skoodge isnt too pushy about his praises. he recognizes and understands whatever cues zim must be throwing out better than anyone else does and its a wonder how he's managed to do so.
whereas others are less privy to zims inner workings and dont quite understand that he wants to be praised from a reasonable distance.
i hate them and i hope they both die
