the wishing well story nimona tells is a prank on ballister, sure, but it has some truth to it, if you think about it

nimona really was alone, she did try to find a place with others. she wanted to be accepted, to have company, so, what I'm saying is that is ironic that nimona is so sarcastic about making a wish to be stuck in a subway with an stuck up knight, because that's exactly what she wanted the most, to find ballister, to find someone who saw her as a person, to find someone who liked her for who she is

How the bar meetup scene ended in the comic

the dynamic between Goldenloin and Blackheart is just so much more complex and bitter in the comic. They’re both a lot more morally gray, and Blackheart does more than look at people with sad puppy eyes. Sure Nimona’s bitter, but he is too.

Anyway, I still love the movie, but everyone should read the comic <3

the way ballister tries to say "no the system is good, we just gotta get rid of the bad person in it"????? and nimona answers with "NO the WHOLE SYSTEM IS BAD!!! we should take it all down!!"

bc like, that's the truth. people often make the mistake of assuming that if you got rid of a few people, bad things wouldn't happen, but if that particular person wasn't doing bad things, someone else would be doing them, that's the way this system needs to work

you can't just get rid of the oppressors and call it a day, you have to also get rid of the system that created the oppressors
