I wanted to make a post about Leelah Alcorn but I lack the requisite words to describe how I feel. But this is exactly what it should be like. Leelah’s death is a heartbreaking tragedy and it should leave everyone speechless. That being said, however, we cannot simply sit back and mourn her by reblogging text posts and saying how messed up this is. In her note, she said that she wanted her death to mean something. So please, help her rest in peace by helping all you can and adding resources you find below. We can make a change. You matter.

Who makes fun of a kid who attempted suicide because he was bullied for liking his favorite show. WHO FUCKING DOES THAT.

Yo I know I shit on bronies a lot but this is sad as hell.  I shit on the *nice guys* in the mlp fandom that are creepy as shit and ruin it for everyone. THIS is wrong, no one should be bullied because they like something considered “socially unconventional” like- I get so fucking furious that people are so heartless and they teach their children that heartlessness and this happens.  So what if he likes mlp?  I’ve heard the show actually teaches some valuable lessons, so maybe more boys should like it and we shouldn’t judge them.  

An ELEVEN year old boy ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.  Think about that for a second people.  A kid that young wanted to die because of how awful people made him feel for liking a thing that probably enriched his life.  Fuck people like that seriously.  Any kind of bullying is not ok.  

This is absolutely awful. The Bronies, I admit, are awful, but young male MLP fans should be shown just as much kindness and compassion as we can offer. This isn't a neckbeard, guys; this is an ELEVEN YEAR OLD BOY who was bullied to the point of attempting to kill himself because he happened to like a very cute cartoon about ponies.

Do not use the threat of suicide to get notes.
