In case you ever forgot that this man is a literal giant
Even at 7ft tall and having been the strongest man in the world for likely well over a decade: his body language really doesn’t read like that at all.
And that’s not a development from losing OFA. Even before, the way he interacts with others is very soft and polite. Asking Deku to eat with him instead of telling him, not yelling at Midnight when she interrupted his entrance, and even the way he speaks (using ‘watashi’ rather than the more masculine ‘ore’).
And you can tell the other teachers aren’t intimidated by him either. He’s like your silly uncle to them. Very different from the way people interact with Endeavour.
He’s an actual gentle giant and I love him so much.
This is actually a really good example for bigger people (esp. men) on how to act around women and kids generally, and more specifically abuse victims. Notably: taking care to NOT use your larger size, your gestures and big voice in a way that seems threatening, asking permission/consent, being polite, and taking a lot of care to listen to people and watch their less conscious reactions (body language, etc) to see how good a job you’re doing.
For me, this characterization of All Might keeps in with my idea of him wanting to be good hero and, fundamentally, a good person. I’d bet that he didn’t want people to be scared of him, especially in a dangerous situation when they’d already be scared. A+ characterization, and good advice for real life.
