i did them both! 8/10 for nightleaf, 10/10 for hawkleaf. my feelings on hawkleaf are a bit weird because i adore it as a intentionally toxic ship, i think itd make the reveal all the more dramatic too, while i can see nightleaf as leafp moving on from her abusive ex. maybe hawkleaf could even be a cute ship, i just prefer it bad.

mothpool is canon but i think i might actually like nightleaf more on a narrative level… i know people bitch about how ships like that are ~making it all about the guy~ or what the fuck ever but i think that two women realizing that they were both wronged by the same shitty dude in the same shitty system learning to see each other as people and discovering that they actually have so much in common in how they both responded to their own loneliness and poor self image by latching onto someone who they perceived as their only chance at finding love and misconstrued that for romantic attraction rules and is good, sorry to everyone who thought otherwise
