Hi! You can call me Sasha. Or nothing at all which honestly, why would you need to use my name? Nothing is good!

ao3: Sasa_Q

Pronouns: they/he/she

Feel free to send asks with your Trek thoughts, especially DS9 related! But please be respectful, I'm a person too even if I don't feel like it.

Something I really love about Benjamin Sisko (that they haven’t quite settled into in season 1 but get there in season 2) is how if there is literally any mystery or potential skulduggery that can take place he will put his neck on the line to get it investigated. He’s always a sweat drop away from major international incident because he just will not let things lie if it’s the right thing to do despite being in the most tense situation in the universe.

Me: “No you see, a ‘Datasode’ is an episode that’s simply focused on Data. A ‘Brentisode’ is where Brent Spiner plays multiple roles and has 80% or more of the dialogue. Incidentally, ‘Brentisodes’ are often focused on Data so it’s understandable there’s some confusion.”

My date, overwhelmed with lust: “wow yeah that’s an important distinction to make.”

Let's hear it for these two:

Two women intended by a couple of creepy producers to be nothing more than a target for the male gaze, and who instead managed to work through all the skimpy outfits and situations meant to get them naked to give nuanced and engaging performances that made their characters a lasting part of Star Trek. I do hope that as Jeri Ryan's Seven has had her renaissance, Jolene Blalock's T'Pol might get a similar return.

Even if not, thank you Jeri and Jolene for bringing your acting talents to bear against Berman sexism.
