this year while we all celebrate pride month and celebrate ourselves as well as those who came before us and paved the way for us to do so, we must also think of those in gaza, queer or not, who live every day under a brutal occupation and don’t have that same privilege. happy pride, and may we see a free palestine in this lifetime.
straight people will never understand how therapeutic it is to hear the words “her girlfriend” or “his boyfriend” or how I ascend to heaven when I hear “her wife” and “his husband”
Female customer: “I don’t have a rewards card but my partner might.”
Me, ears perking up: “Great! Can I have their name?”
Customer: “It’s Stephanie ____”
Me: stupidly wide smile and faint twinkle in eyes because holy crap I’m not alone
These two women came up to my register with their twins and they called each other honey and their kids called them both Mom and my soul ascended to the heavens i was so happy
When I worked as a contractor I knocked on a heavily pregnant woman’s door and she said she’d “have to talk to the missus” in a heeeeavy outback accent and I actually forgot how to speak for a second and had to explain that I’m not homophobic I’m just super gay and hearing her say that launched my souls directly to nirvana
My soul when I see Queer people visibly and openly living their best Queer lives:
LGBT visibility is so important for this reason and more.
yeah man that group of queer people really are evil fakers stealing ur resources. for real this time yeah. no it's not dumb meaningless exclusionist discourse that you're traumatizing a group of fellow queer people with this time, it's a good thing this time. keep sending those people death threats and talking about how they're not oppressed enough you're really doing so much good for the queer community
this post is about bisexuals & nonbinary people & asexuals & aromantics & demisexuals & people in queerplatonic relationships & people in polyamorous relationships & queers & neopronoun users & genderfluid people & he/him lesbians & bi lesbians & gnc people & trans men & people who dont use labels & literally everyone else who has been targeted by this weird ass obsession with who the “real” queers are. why does this keep happening. don’t 14 year olds these days have pinterest boards to curate why are we still doing this shit
look at me. listen to me. bigots and queerphobes don’t know the distinction between a trans person, a gnc cis gay person, and a cisgender heterosexual crossdresser. all of these people are just queer degenerates to them. that is why their anti-drag bills are written so vaguely as to encompass any possible mundane gender nonconformity - so they can target as many of us as possible in one ruling. and that’s why you need to stop trying to put lines between these groups in regards to ‘who’s more oppressed’ and ‘who has the right to talk about gender’ - gender nonconformity and transgenderism are punished in exactly the same way. cut one of us and the other bleeds. our fight is the same.
lgbtq+ communities don't even need outside interference, e.g. right-wing psyops (tho it has happened and everyone falls for it without question), to divide and conquer us, because all it takes is a niche microlabel that like 4 people use, or a poorly-designed pride flag made in earnest by a 15 year-old furry, or something equally inconsequential, to get a lot of lgbtq+ people so angry they stop seeing others' humanity. and it'd be funny if it weren't such a big problem, because like, imagine having nothing better to do than mocking someone for putting "demisexual" in their bio. please take a nap or drink some water or call a friend instead. take a piss, even, it'd be doing something better and more productive. your anger is politically expedient for some of the most horrible people out there, and it is counterproductive for everyone else
quiet aroace guys and cool lesbians have a symbiotic relationship
Labor day is wack. everyone who works customer service or factory work should get the day off and all the office workers should fill in for them.
you know what. yeah.
THE UNIVERSE SAID TRANS RIGHTS!! 🗣🗣
the trans flag except the colors were directly picked off this photo of jupiter!
This has probably been done before but I made this anyway
I’m Gay
I’m A Lesbian
I’m bisexual
i’m trans
Im Asexual.
I’m not sure yet
it’s ok!
a wholesome post
oh, interesting note: op is throwing a pity party because someone added those nasty-wasty acey-waceys to their pure L! G! B! T! ONLY post, and they DIDN’T LIKE THAT. Keep reblogging this version to piss them off.
reblogging for that last part dnjsnjdn
For whatever reason you’re in the closet, you deserve to enjoy pride!
not to come off like i’m flexing, but it’s kind of super obvious that a lot of people who think asexuals shouldn’t be/aren’t included in lgbt+ spaces have never actually been to lgbt+ spaces in real life. i know not everyone has the opportunity to exist in these spaces so i’m not trying to pretend that if you don’t have access to these spaces, you’re immediately an asshole, but excluding these people is an unrealistic idea that becomes incredibly obvious once you actually exist in these spaces. That shit doesn’t fly in the real world.
We are not enemies.
After seeing some angry comments I thought it put something more positive up.
*sips coffee* what a beautiful day to remember that asexuality is real and what the A in LGBTQA+ stands for and that they are not straight but a part of the LGBTQA+ community
What a beautiful day to remember that the people who create the “ace people are straight,” the “bi people are straight,” the “trans people are misogynist,” etc. propaganda are trying to tear the queer community apart to make us all easier to pick off so if you’ve fallen for it or spread it yourself, you’re enabling people who want to do harm.
What a beautiful day to remember the Q stands for both Queer and Questioning, and that Queer isn’t a slur and also it’s okay to not really know what you are yet.
This is good tea
Some fun LGBT+ history from today’s #Pride tag on twitter
as an official spokesperson for the ace community let me just say
we are chugging “loving and supporting lesbians” juice all day every day
as an official spokesperson for the aro community let me just say we too are chugging that “loving and supporting lesbians” juice by the gallon 24/7
as an official spokesperson for the lesbian community let me just say that we are chugging that “loving and supporting aspecs” juice all the time
