I think they would be decent parents?Buttons mentioned before that he’d get a nervous breakdown having a kid (though later on he would get his chill on) and Meg and him agreed that they really don’t care about the sex of their future (hypothetical) child.At first I thought Butts would be the irresponsible but fun dad while Meg would be the rule-following strict mom buuut honestly? While Buttons is the more childish one of the two, he’s also a constantly-on-edge coward while Meg can handle a little risky danger. So maybe the other way around instead.

AHEM! He’s not as blundering as he might look. Of course he had to learn how to properly handle his weapons but he only gets slightly sloppy when he’s in direct sight and in turn, direct danger.

The (loosely Christian) holidays Buttons introduced to Meg and the other Arefu settlers are by no means celebrated by the whole settlement and even Meg and Buttons tend to forget about them sometimes. I imagine they’re a weird mix of different holidays re-imagined by vault-dwellers and Buttons has no clue where they even originated from.They do celebrate birthdays and Arefu has a bonfire/barbecue event every once in a while which tends to get wild when word goes out to other settlements and people start coming over with musicians and their own special meals.

He waters his flowers on the roof while drinking tea every morning/evening. Or whenever he remembers. Caring for other lifeforms calms him + he gets to keep his nervousness at bay by occupying the highest point in the area. He likes knowing he’s safe.

I just found a cat hiding in the garage that looks a lot like buttons - long and spindly but feels like a pile of bricks when you pick him up, he's a black and white (not quite tuxedo) cat and even has a scar on his nose! I'm going to see if I can find his owners (he's too tame to be a stray, he came running when I called him) or get him adopted, since my cat doesn't seem to like him.

Awh that sounds adorable!I recently found a pic of a cat which doesn’t resemble Buttons as far as characteristics go but I can’t stop thinking about the dumb expression it makes. It’s like the perfect “squish” face :’D

I had this dream that Buttons and Meg decided to get married but when Buttons proposed he was like "Which finger does this go on?" And Meg didn't know either so they had to go ask Randy. Then they were trying to plan it and Meg was looking through magazines she'd found and just threw them all in the air and was like "THIS PLANNING STUFF IS BULLSHIT LET'S JUST GO TO ONE OF THOSE PLACES IN NEW VEGAS" So they went through a drive-thru thing with Keegan and Randy in the back and Randy was crying.

The only word that would really come to mind looking at him would likely be ‘scrawny’. His hair was too dirty to really discern a color other than ‘dirt’, chopped in a style that was likely an attempt at a mohawk or something similarly intimidating that had completely failed. None of the clothes he had on fit properly, mostly being comprised of old rags, the lower half of his face hidden by a red bandana he had tied around it.

He appeared fairly young - though his exact age would be difficult to figure out, especially with half his face concealed by the bandana, the other half partially hidden by the mop of hair. A mismatched pair of eyes stared up at Button, before giving a quick shake of his head at the question. He didn’t know any ‘Jimmy’.
