The Ties That Bind

Ellis: Mind control? I remember everything now. That man with the suit wanted to talk to us about you. He brought these people with him. Jill: They looked into our eyes...and suddenly everything was different. We were different. Cessily: Mom, dad...I just wanted you to accept me... Jill: By forcing us to? Ellis: And accept what? That our daughter isn't human? That she travels with people who make us change our minds? It might be best if you stayed at that school next time you have a break. Cessily: Is this true? Were they really-- Brian: Yeah after we turned Kingmaker in, I went through his Rolodex. I found some listings for a couple of low-level telepaths. I'm sorry, Cess. Cessily: I should have known there was no way they'd just suddenly accept me. But I was so happy, I didn't see it. I was so naive. Brian: They're the ones who did something wrong. You're their daughter. It shouldn't require mind control. 

Emma: ...And so, I give to you...my squad. The Hellions.  Santo: Hey, is it just me, or did we just become Hellion and the Hellions? Julian: Yeah. Isn't it cool? Cessily: There'll be no living with you now. 

Cessily: She saved us! All of us! Emma: Cessily... Cessily: No! You abandon Kevin, you humiliate Julian, and now you want Laura to leave?! What is the matter with you?! She nearly died saving our lives... she would have, if not for Julian! This is how you treat her? Emma: There are things you don't know, Cessily.. I'm doing this to protect you. Cessily: I don't care! I've found out more than enough about you "protect" your students, Miss Frost. 

Victor: Trance woke up once her body got back to Earth. I guess Colossus wanted to go back for Darkchild, but Amanda Sefton said limbo had been sealed off. Rockslide's still made of limbo-rock. And my new arm itches. Megan: My soul itches. Victor: ...touché. Santo: Hey, nerds. Victor: I'm too tired to yell at you, Santo. Santo: Good, then just listen. I talked to Surge and Cyclops. I told them that if there wasn't room on the team for you two, I'd quit to make room. You deserve it... Nerds.

Cess: nnn. no.. please.. Julian: shhhh, Cess... it's okay. You're safe now. You're just dreaming. Nori: How's she doing Julian? Julian: I don't know. She wakes up screaming. We got her out of there, but she won't tell me... she won't tell me what they did. She's tough, Ashida. She'll get through it, right? Nori: Yeah. Of course she will. 

Victor: This sucks. We're supposed to be in the field, not a field.. Cessily: =) Victor: We should be more concerned with the seeds of hate than the seeds of wheat! Cessily: =) Santo: Ain't that supposed to rhyme, ya dope? Victor: Meh, close enough. How about this one? 

Megan: I won't do it. Illyana Rasputin is a monster. You know what she took from both of us.  Victor: I know. Megan:  And the X-Men, they'd leave all of the new students to die in a ditch if it meant helping her. Victor: I know. Megan: So why? Why should I help her? Victor: Because you're a good person, Megan. Even after everything she did to you, you're still a good person. A better person than her. But the reason you'll go back to limbo is because you're a hero. You're an X-Man. Megan: I'm scared. Victor: I know. Megan: Will you come with me? Victor: ..Of course I will.
