Cicadas, emerging from the ground after 17 years:
I want a home mostly just to welcome people into it. There will be bowls of candy for guests, and the cookie jar is full. I’ll always say “I was just about to make a coffee/tea/cocoa, would you like one?” when somebody walks in. There’s lemonade and iced tea made fresh on hot days. Once it hits That Hour and they start saying they really should be going, I’ll remind them that the futon is always open, and I’m making cinnamon rolls tomorrow. There’s champagne and sparkling juice hidden on a high shelf just in case somebody announces their engagement or their pregnancy or their new job while they’re here. There is an extra chair in the living room, at the table, and on the deck, and it’s for you. I want to be able to say “if you’re ever in trouble, come to me.”
cis people: *say something transphobic*
trans people: hey. youre a a transphobe
cis people: UWAAAAAA YOURE SCARING ME UWU (0_0) !!!! i have anxiety youre making me have an anxiety attack from how angry you are.. im gonna go to my widdle hidey hole 3’:
Shut ur up, people can wear whatever they want to pride, also ur misgendering a random guy because how dare he be proud of his body huh?
This is absolutely something that was and is done by older lgbtq+ people and flamboyant people during protests and marches to normalize the fact that men can have breasts, that men can look like anything and still be men.
It reminds me of how trumeds like to claim that the community founders would have hated people like me, but trumeds are the ones who would have hated the community founders. The people who started the protests, the people who were “too” flamboyant, too loud, too non-conforming, the people who put themselves in the line of fire for harassment and hate, etc.
It’s almost like pride was originally supposed to be a protest and was never about licking the boots of cishet people
Ppl are like “support ALL non binary people” until some non binary people navigate gender in a way that’s not universally liked and straightforward or have an identity that’s not instantly understandable to strangers with discourse blogs
No offence but the whole point of non binary is to exist outside the gender binary so I really don’t know why some of you act shocked and get mad when non binary identities and experiences can’t be properly described by language that was created inside a binary and designed to enforce it

Someone once said to me, “I hope the pain eases soon.” It struck me as the purest blessing that had ever been offered over my head - I hope the pain eases soon. It’s so gentle, so kind, so hopeful. So to everyone who’s hurting: I see how hard you’re trying, and I hope your pain will ease soon.
every conversation you’ll have with your friends when you’re all gay and/or trans and have trauma
Does anyone else love bad weather? Like the kind that’s loud and dark and draws attention to its self like pounding rain drops and thunder and lightning that seems just so close. And you can sit near a window and it’s dark outside and maybe you’ve got a candle lit or a lamp and it’s so warm inside and you’re wearing you’re favourite sweater and watching a good show or reading a good book and it’s beautiful outside the rain and the clouds and the sound of it all and you’re just so content and cosy and happy
aw dude the little egg pieces in fried rice reblog if you agree
fuck yeah!!!! this is a good post i love my blog
If you haven’t heard there is a literal massacre going on in Sudan.
People are getting kidnapped, arrested, raped and killed. This has been going on for a few days now but naturally there’s hardly any media coverage.
THE WORLD CARES MORE ABOUT AN EMPTY CHURCH IN FRANCE THAN HUNDREDS OF INNOCENT BLACK MUSLIMS DYING IN SUDAN.
There are a few ways to help:
Even if you can’t donate please help spread the news!!
