Generally, we like to stay off discourse or any sort of rants off this blog since that’s what personal blog is for after all ;) but to answer your I feel most people who use such headcanons generally never seen Season Zero. It was during that time period in which Yuugi got the most “development” as a character than any other part of the series. Some might argue with it, saying he grew as he duels, I am not discrediting it, but season Zero definitely took the cake on showing the sides of Yuugi we didn’t get much of a chance, like how was he in school, aside Dueling.
How he became friends with Jou, Honda and how much closer he was to Anzu. Little things like that make a big impact on a character for us? Hence the reason we love Season Zero so much more. It may not be for everyone but even someone as Atem got a lot of developments thanks to it as well. He grew from insane spirit to a more spiritual connected one to Yuugi by the time DM rolled around.
But YES-! Like I said before, it is likely due to the fact most people tend to ignore Season Zero development as a side “series” or simply never watched it. Don’t get me wrong, It’s fun to make headcanons! But people must always remember, headcanon does not mean it’s canon! (it’s called headcanon for a reason!) So long as they don’t spread that to others claiming its canon (via tags or just being obnoxiously loud about it and attacking people for it) I don’t see a problem with having a headcanon.

As in…like reblog couple with Yugi? Uh…Well we try NOT to (meaning all three of us) This is a Yugi blog and we plan to hopefully keep it this way. Sometimes it may seem we will reblog images with him pair with someone, I can assure its not really intentional. Sometimes its a bit difficult having Yugi mostly to himself but we do our best.
But to answer, there is no real definitely answer. We love Yugi, whenever pair with the others is just an extra side of bonus!
