And I like that everyone is just there, but there’s Tahno. Front and center, straight up jamming.
yES I really really like how he's super into it??? He never looked this happy pro-bending (usually he just looked confident and smirked a lot), but his body language here suggests he's having one hell of a good time. I shall now headcanon that he was forced to quit pro-bending after losing his bending (for obvious reasons) and at some point he learned how to play the trombone because he was a sad mess (as we saw in that memorable scene in 1x07) and most likely someone oriented him to find something to occupy his time so the sadness wouldn't take over him. At first, he's probably really skeptical about the whole thing ('look at this dumb instrument. What the hell. nO') but then he gets really good at this and he's like super excited omg and he manages to convince Ming and Shaozu to find something to play too ('no guys I'm serious this is super cool look at how cool I sound excuse me don't be too jealous xoxo') and they're not really into it but they do it anyway because it's Tahno so yeah let's do it I guess (and later on they get good at it too but never reach Tahno's level of 'i fucking love this trombone')
aND THEN LATER ON when Korra's restoring people's bending Tahno decides to show up because hEY IT'S THE UHVATAR and when it's his turn with her he just starts to talk a lot and all charming and flirty and 'eat noodles with me uhvatar' and stuff and Korra's really surprised but also a little nervous bc omg there's a big line forming behind him pls Tahno shut up thank
and at some point I guess he starts to play songs for her like a big dork and at first he isn't serious, just kind of making fun of her??? And she thinks it's hilarious but also dumb and a little cute omg
and at some point they get married and Tahno plays the trombone on his own wedding hte end!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!
i dont know where I was going with this I'm just really pumped up about the idea of Tahno recovering from depression by discovering his hidden talents and trying to impress Korra-senpai with his trombone skills
