So I was about to delete this (why did I take it in the first place? idk), when I noticed the “Ray’s Goon” labels (why didn’t I look at it before? idk). 

So Ray is the name of Craig Robinson’s character, heretofore described as “a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot in his time of need.” Sounds pretty friendly, right? That’s what I was hoping for. But this seems to indicate he has some goons. And the goons coupled with the somewhat menacing shot of Ray leaning over Elliot in the trailer, plus the bts photos of Elliot in the park handing Mr. Robot some pills and Ray in the (same?) park, makes me think he might be Vera-esque instead of like, Elliot’s friend. Just some food for thought.

….. I may have been thinking about it the last time I watched the show and considered the fact that the show is lying about the Mr. Robot character not being legit. Also the theory he might not actually be Elliot’s dad. Also the theory Elliot is an alternate nOT FOR TYRELL.I mean at this point I would consider the theory that the entire thing is Flipper’s daydream. I gotta be ready for Sam Esmail so I can at least say I considered whatever way he goes when he rips my life apart with his damn story.

(side note: I highly recommend watching the German film Who Am I? as it has a vast amount of similarities to Mr. Robot, and it has sprouted a lot of new theories for me. It should be available on Netflix)

Ha, yeah, I watched Who Am I like twice in a row like a week and a half ago and the similarities are striking. I’m wholly convinced Sam has seen it even though it’s not that old and I’m pretty sure at least the pilot of Mr. Robot was penned before it came out.  

And fair enough for considering any fucking theory cause who knows what Sam is gonna do...we must be prepared. So Angela would have to be in on it too cause the graveyard scene, right?  I have this Darlene theory that came to me when I hadn’t slept in two days and I have it in a draft cause I thought it was a bit out there but I think i’m gonna finish typing it up cause ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN and this has inspired me to do so!

Anon again. An idea I have is that the first break/loss of memory might've happened when they were late teens/early twenties? Because Elliot would have just been legally able to leave his mother, but without Darlene, and that would have been really stressful on him, so maybe he forgot her? He never forgot his mother, just his dad and Darlene. Though at the same time, they don't really talk like it was a full decade since the last time, so I dunno.
