—What’s Back to the Future? Can we see The Martian instead? —Are you kidding? First of all, The Martian looks like shit. Second of all, you’ve never seen Back to the Future? —No… Looks like an old movie. —You don’t understand. Today is the day Marty travels into the future and I’ve wanted to see this movie on this day since I was your age.

Maybe there are still things left for me to do.

I’ve tried everything. I fought him. I OD’d on adderall. I made peace with him. I even got myself arrested. No matter what I do, he always finds a way.

          But then again, isn’t it all the same, our senses just mediocre inputs for our brain? Sure, we rely on them, trust they accurately portray the real world around us, but what if the haunting truth is, they can’t? That what we perceive isn’t  t h e  r e a l  w o r l d  at all but just our mind’s best guess?        That all we really have is a garbled reality, a fuzzy picture we will never truly make out.
