75 years ago, 4th May 1948 Jan Kantůrek, the absolutely brilliant translator into czech of Terry Pratchett's books or Neil's Coraline, and of course, Good Omens, was born ❤. His wish was to translate all of Terry's work before dying which he unfortunately didn't manage to (though he did manage Discworld) dying 22 March 2018. Happy Birthday Jan Kantůrek, thank you for introducing me to Terry's books ❤.

hello, i had a thought that might be a fun question for good omens fans: who is your favourite side-character? i ask because there are so many especially in the book, and some are really quite delightful, even though many you barely even see. (my favourite is Jamie, the cleaner at a shopping centre who breaks the glass ceiling panels so a tree can grow through)

In the second season it's Episode 2, their meeting in the pub and Job's minisode are very delicious! :)

- Our Flag Means Death 🏴☠️ (Marvellous! Fell in love with Izzy Hands (started fuckyeahizzyhands, hehe :)), it has 2 seasons but unfortunately it was axed, so pls sign the petition to renew :) <3)
- Inside No. 9 (Discovered this bc of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton (Fuffur/Shakespeare and Glozier in GO), it's a show with individual stories they write and act in and honestly it's the most disturbing thing I have ever seen on TV but still I couldn't stop watching :D (I am a sucker for good plot twist :D))
- Poker Face (A nice suprise TV crime/comedy series with a woman that can detect if someone lies :)).
- The Last Of Us (Very, very good! :) I like the first half more, but still, I usually don't like zombie stuff but this was just too good too pass :). There are Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey and in one (excellent) episode Nick Offerman (Thaddeus Dowling in GO)).
...9 shows you say... um... no I can't remember anything other new I saw :D, too tired, depressed and unfocused :D and you know... not in mood for anything new :D (if I remember st I will add it :D).
If new seasons of shows I've seen before count then:
- Good Omens 2 (must put it in the first place even tho still devastated :|)
- Doctor Who (fuck yeah getting David back was absolutely delicious :))
- Loki 2 (it was fine but my marvel spark seems to be gone...)

Hiya! :) I posted my first post on 30th December 2018, 5 months before it came out! :) So the day after tomorrow this blog shall celebrate 5 years! :) <3 I havent been in the Good Omens fandom before as such, but I've been a Pratchett fan since 2008 read the book about 3-4 times since then until the show :) <3. Can anyone tell me why so many people believe Douglas not being involved with GO any longer could be a sign that season 3 might not happen? I'm panicking 😅
Hiya! To be clear my anxiety attack is about being absolutely blindsided by what's happening (also only like mentioned in a social media comment) and the Ineffable Family crew spliting and not properly understanding what's happening, not about S3. - I mean, like yeah, it does make sad that S3 that it won't be by Douglas or worry Neil might less want to do it - but mainly my feelings are stemming from being confused and sad about what's happening.
Neil said that he will finish S3 either in a season or a novel and I believe and trust that and I hope that if Amazon greenlits S3, he will do it in a season so we will see David and Michael as our ineffable idiots (fondly) living in that cottage. ❤

So today I was wearing the @theineffablecon T-shirt during my group english class and we were talking about some english terms and we came to "be obsessed with" and the teacher said "my name might be a bit obsessed with a certain TV show"... um :D, yeah he knows me :D.
hello, i've sort of been wondering how your name is pronounced, because in english there are like 5 different ways you can pronounce an x, and i've mentally been saying it like 'izzy' but i wanted to make sure that was right

Too many people acting like the end of GO2 is the end of the whole story and not the end of Act 2 of 3. In a time where it's very hard to find a storyteller you can trust to write things well and give characters a good payoff, Neil Gaiman is worth his weight in gold. Can we just ... wait and see?
Not saying we can't be sad about it (I am DEVASTATED, but I love the angst) but it feels like the line has blurred between the story being sad and the story being some kind of personal attack.
Hiya. Ummm. Everyone is different and is processing it differently. You say you love angst. Not everyone does. For some of who whose real life sucks and consider Good Omens our comfort thing and were not expecting the angst ending is very difficult to put the logical aspect of it not being the ending into heart that is currently broken by it the 'temportal' ending and knowing that the story will continue.
It is okay to put these feelings into texts on our blog, into art, into fix it fics. It is not okay to send any ugly messages to Neil or other co-creators.
I respect all the opinions of people that love every minute of it, or that can move more quickly than me, or that need to process it differently and I expect that they will respect my opinion and accept that the ending of S2 is difficult for me (even though logically I know that is not the end).

I am... fucking devastated. I absolutely loved it it until saw the ending but it is very difficult for me to like something with a bad ending so now so now it's very difficult for me to like S2. And honestly, Season 2 was the only thing in life I was looking forward to so... yeah, I'm pretty fucked up by it. I had entertained the possibility of somewhat open ending but I believed it will be a happy one like in S1, Neil said it will be soft, gentle, romantic so I truly believed in that happy ending.
And I like... logically I know that Neil has planned more, and that we might get Season 3 or he might finish it in a book. So brain sort of knows that this is not the ending and the ending is in the cottage, but does it help the heart? No, not at all. Yeah, fucking gutted, I cried a lot, tried to sleep, went for a long walk.
I will have to try to somehow love the bits before the S2 ending - and I truly to love them - it's just there is such a fucking big strangling shadow over my heart for it.
So... yeah... not feeling good.
