Via Flickr: The Masonic Hall is one of the few buildings in Bannack that was restored inside. It was repaired, stocked, and is still occasionally used for Masonic ceremonies. Bannack is a ghost town in western Montana that is being preserved in a state of maintained decay by the state parks department. It was a boom town during the gold years of the mid to late 1800's but was steadily abandoned as the gold ran out. A few homes were still inhabited until the 1960's, but most were left to rot.
