First coat of finish on the walnut goblet, sitting by a block of the same cut
At least I did this this year.
Well it's so obviously lopsided especially looking at photos but it is a birthday gift for my mother so that is totally permissable. You can see the previous attempt at putting a hole in it on the bark side.
Made with bark from a tree struck by lightning. Didn't do anything else for that lovely maroon on the left but harvest. Currently getting polyurethane soaked in.
Hands! Cedar from the yard on the left, been working on that one the longest, newer work on the right from a walnut blank from the wood shop.
Did you know Dürers prayer hands are on Andy Warhols grave? Or that a Livestream of Warhol's grave has been up for over two decades?
In my dad's scrap pile there's the clear remains of a shit plywood Walmart shelf but I just happen to need a little shelf and appreciate not having to measure lumber for this quick task
My mom said hey you know that lazy Susan in the basement just do whatever you want with it so I'm tiering it
Goddddd this eBay purchase for the barn was so goddamn worth it. Look at that. I will admit, I had to blow a little dust off the pencil for the second pic, but isn't that even better??
Decided to keep penis gnome in his current state and as a talisman for my woodworking. Keep in mind your humble beginnings into a craft and reflect on the progress you've made.
