We all know what's coming.
Despite the fact that Mary Anne was based on me, I think I’ve always felt closer to Kristy. She is—I have to admit—my favorite and I think it’s partly because I created her first and the first book was Kristy’s book. But, she’s also, I suppose, my alter ego. She’s who I would like to be; she’s outspoken and just sort of marches forward no matter what happens. And I think because I liked Kristy so much—I do feel that I explored her character a little bit more than some of the other characters; there’s more depth to Kristy’s character.
