dean wiping his hands. the lil cutie <3
I can’t help but think that Dean’s first instinct was to wipe his hands on Sam’s shirt, but then he decided to be an adult about it. *g*

SPN 14x16 Don’t Go in the Woods
Filed under: Things I will never forgive Dabb
Having Dean wear his red research plaid shirt - and then not only not having him do any research in it, but actively using it to promote the idea of dumb, illiterate dudebro Dean who only cares about porn and beer.
Just finished watching the latest ep. Hated it with the power of a thousand burning suns.
It’s probably better if I don’t watch the rest of the season, so apologies to you all if I don’t bring you any shiny new gifs.

Perez doesn’t get Dean, at all. Dumb bossy unfeeling Dean who only cares about porn and booze and never contributes anything to a case apart from maybe a bit of blunt force? No thanks.
His knowledge of the whole show and mythology is just astonishingly poor. Hence the whole lying discussion this ep. Which, by the way, also completely destroyed the refreshing quality of the Dean/Jack relationship - namely, that Dean was always pretty honest with him, sometimes even brutally so.
Way too many dumb, annoying teenagers. (That couple in the woods at night right after doomed teaser girl had been murdered? Are you kidding me?)
The umpteenth attempt to show us how dangerous Jack’s powers are, even though once again the real problem was Jack’s impulsiveness and lack of experience.
The three dumb Kansas teens shunning Jack at the end, completely forgetting that they recklessly endangered their friends and themselves when the blonde girl stole the Impala a few weeks ago. And they never betrayed even the smallest sign of remorse afterwards.
Meanwhile Jack was stripped of every bit of maturity and emotional growth he ever possessed, something that can hardly be explained away through the loss of his soul. I love Jack and I think the character’s got a lot of potential, and I’m utterly sick of Dabb ignoring that and denying him any real development just to fit him into stupid storylines that no one cares about anyway.
The whole racism/orientalism thing. Seriously, that was worse than Bugs and the racist truck combined.
The usual Perez logic problem - his case narratives just never make any sense when you fit the different bits that get explained together.
@shadowvalkyrie: thank you for writing this so I don't have to waste even a word on this terrible episode
You’re welcome. 💕 Sending you and everyone else whose mind was shattered or whose heart was broken by this ep a big hug.
