More Uncle!

This time the pencil rendering and playing around with layering effects to make things a little more interesting.

He is an air genasi - to be specific he was born into a family of flight gifted hobgoblins who revere the first Tengu. He was born more a less an avatar of the Tengu, and a piece of the Tengu's spirit is his Raven familiar.

Mend what was broken, make it shine.

So I’ve mentioned how Asim has become a saint and a minor archfey? Well his theme is mending broken bonds, reuniting, and reforging lost connections. I thought a shattered halo would be fitting.

Him and his 47 rats are going to fix everything and make it alright again.

Have an Asim. And a whole lot of body mods and muscles.

Asim’s a paladin, and the sweetest guy around.

He’s a dark elf/orc, or using in-world terms, a Zaixaudai. But he has a couple fun additions (like his tail) from his warlock pact.

Does the moon miss the sun when it’s gone away? Yes. Yes, he does.

Dendurst, the archfey of the moon, missing his twin brother, Iskehl, the archfey of the sun.

Divine Form, like Wild Shape but with more of a "holy beast full of fury and love" vibe.

So yeah, Asim. He can turn into a large Creature now. As a treat.

Finished up the color on this bad boy as a little birthday treat to myself.

“Khelo’loxamai”, or “Kehlo’lo”. An elven kiss where an elf bumps their nose against someone until the pressure raises their lip and exposes their teeth.

While the word is often translated to “you make me smile”, a more accurate translation is “you make my smile for me”.

I don’t often do multiple character pieces but I decided to give it a try for Valentine’s day. A little cuteness as a treat. Asim and his husband Gearheart.

One ear up! It’s my boy, Asim! I feel I’ve made a decent amount of progress these last three years both in design and execution.

Moonfall

“… and so Dendurst was cast down like his long forgotten brother before him, and without the twins guiding the sun and moon through the sky the feywild fell into eternal twilght.”

This has been a long time coming, but I’ve finally finished this piece. It’s the largest piece I’ve done...  The graphite copy being about 30 inches tall all put together and it’s in three pieces(much like the fishman himself) because it wouldn’t all fit on one sheet of paper.

Look at my beautiful boys! It took a while to color them because I was designing two characters from the ground up and putting them together into one dnd character, but I’m making some progress!

The green half is Damalrin, a very fancy boy, and the red half is Ahynkroi, a very toothy boy. They’re a tiefling cursed to be two people.

The first full view of my boy’s redesign!

Damalrin’s a tiefling warlock, of Wibli(in game term for wood elf) heritage. He was once regarded as a blessing to his family and community and considered an Aasimar to the elven god, Io’Tlanz the Third Twin. However, when  they moved to a new community, he was cast down as a fiend and a pretender. His left little finger was cut off to brand him as a liar - an old practice in elven communities tied to even older magic. 

A couple steps closer to being done. I've got the armor layer lined and shaded as well, it just needs some cleanup. Slow going because things keep happening so I have to stop working on it to take care of other things. I'm so tired, I just want to draw my boy ;_;

Something a bit different, the clean lineart of the first multilayer reference I'm making. There's going to be a clothing layer and probably an armor layer.

I'm doing this project in layers because it's a complete redesign of an older character and wanted to finalize and show some design choices that would be hidden or partially obscured by his clothing.
