A bit of pencil lineart as a treat. Done with a .2 mechanical pencil.
Mend what was broken, make it shine.
So I’ve mentioned how Asim has become a saint and a minor archfey? Well his theme is mending broken bonds, reuniting, and reforging lost connections. I thought a shattered halo would be fitting.
Him and his 47 rats are going to fix everything and make it alright again.
Finished up the color on this bad boy as a little birthday treat to myself.
My Dnd character Asim, and his husband Gearheart, in love.
Happy Valentine’s Day from Gearheart and Asim as they kroi’viriq (pinky promise) to never leave each other’s side.
“Khelo’loxamai”, or “Kehlo’lo”. An elven kiss where an elf bumps their nose against someone until the pressure raises their lip and exposes their teeth.
While the word is often translated to “you make me smile”, a more accurate translation is “you make my smile for me”.
I don’t often do multiple character pieces but I decided to give it a try for Valentine’s day. A little cuteness as a treat. Asim and his husband Gearheart.
Asim Ahreverha and his weapon, Bayndirslayn, or “Blade Between”
Lineart, pencil shading, and painted.
One ear up! It’s my boy, Asim! I feel I’ve made a decent amount of progress these last three years both in design and execution.
Naiwohn is a half Traisahn(deep elf), half Dairau(dark elf). Not an uncommon heritage as the deep and dark elves live in tight knit communities together in the underdark.
However Naiwohn was dealt an odd hand as he was born with no gills but can’t walk without aid of crutches and often needs to use a riding lizard or wheel chair to get around on land - he was born with a tail instead of legs like most deep elf children, but unlike most deep elf children he never fully grew out of his “baby tail”. Despite being a full grown adult, his upper legs remained fused together and he retained his fins.
His lizard familiar, Tanjitan, helps him with many things, like fetching things and stealing from people.
Took a break from my bigger projects to finish this little bit of starshine! Zia, the adopted daughter of my DnD character, Asim.
She doesn’t know she’s adopted despite being dairau/goblin instead of dairau/orc like Asim… She still thinks she’s going to grow tusks like her papa though, and Asim doesn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.
*dairau=dark elf
A sword once broken in desperation now given new life, held together by a little bit of Heaven. Fitting for an undead paladin raised by the gods.
“Are you afraid? If so, I believe you owe someone an apology...”
It’s all an act... which is perfect, because Asim did always want to be a bard.
With a +5 Charisma and a few tricks up your sleeve you can go from most charming person in the room to most terrifying in about 6 seconds.
Finally got the time to dig up some old art to fill in the character evolution template @leidensygdom made!
I couldn’t find the the very first art I did of Asim, but I did find the second, never colored it. (I don’t have much color art from 2017 unfortunately, that was before I started taking on my potential colorblindness head on.)
I need to draw him in his vestments again sometime, it’s been ages - he’s been undercover so long his lowkey duster and blank eyepatch have kind of become default. Also yeah, his eyepatch is more than just an eyepatch, he’s missing about a good portion of his skull on the right side (he is undead).
He jumped off a building...
When you're an undead drow and paladin to a god of light, things can be a little complicated. He's trying his best though.
(precolor version here: x)
Look, his hair is a lot of fun to draw, okay...
You don’t have to be a picturesque holy avenger to be a paladin, after all, what’s more inspirational than a pure-hearted punk?
