Finally! I finally got around to this! Meet Cassandra Tourmaline, or Cass for short. (Not Cassie, that’s me.) Witch of Animation, she can bring any inanimate object to life and have it act out her will as she pleases. She is smart, relatively demure, though has a tendency to act as though she’s better than other people, which she does acknowledge and try to work on.
With both of her mothers being fallen nobility, she grew up on a largely abandoned mining planet owned by Diaspro’s parents, since most planets didn’t care to have two toxic royals setting up there. As such, Cass didn’t have many friends, or any, except Joya, her bonded fairy animal. I researched carbuncles, and I get why you’d ask for one; they’re related to jewels and treasure, so with Diaspro’s powers, that makes total sense! When she was six, Cass found Joya and was guided by her to a hidden gemstone reserve, one of the last on the planet, and the money from restarting the mine allowed her family to set themselves up with a far greater measure of wealth, and allowed Cass to be raised as more of a lady than the somewhat rough and tumble child she had been. She took to etiquette well, however, Diaspro always worried that they were raising their daughter too similarly to how she’d been raised, leading her to believe that her only worth was in how people saw her. As such, she ensured Cass’s education was far more academic than her own, and took some time to explore the planet with her daughter, even to the extent that dirt got under her nails. Chimera joined after a while, eventually coming to see that they couldn’t be too controlling; the only thing she feared more than destitution was turning into her mother.
Eventually, when Cass turned fifteen, Chimera had her enrolled in Beta Academy, dropping her off with the parting words, ‘I love you, and remember to screw Alfea over any chance you get.’ Cass has obliged, and Alfea fairies have found themselves rather inconvenienced by living cutlery and shoes at any inter-school events. Other than that, she’s an exceptional student.
I really hope you like her! I spent all morning on her, and I’m so happy with how she turned out! Thank you for the request!
