A Crash Course on Channeling

What is Channeling?

Channeling is allowing a nonphysical entity to use your physical body, in order to accomplish something. If that sounds, vague, it’s because it is. Channeling takes many different forms and intensity levels! Depending on how it’s done, it can be a medium-difficulty task or one of the most advanced things a spirit worker can do.

Types of Channeling

I once heard channeling described as a car ride, and in my experience that’s very accurate. The car is your body, and you’re in it with an entity. Sometimes you’re in the driver’s seat, and the entity is in the back seat giving directions. Sometimes you or the entity is in the passenger’s seat: not calling most of the shots, but able to reach over and grab the wheel if needed. Sometimes you’re in the backseat watching the entity drive, and sometimes you’re in the trunk. In practice, this can take a number of forms.

  • Speaking on Behalf. This is the kind of channeling people do most often. The entity isn’t controlling you, just feeding you lines which you can then relay to a third party. You’re translating their messages to something other people can comprehend. If you’ve ever answered a question for a spirit in their words, you’ve done this.
  • Isolated Channeling. The entity takes control of just a part of the body, usually the hands or fingers. This is mostly used for things like automatic writing.
  • Assuming Form. Also known as consensual possession. The entity is in the driver’s seat, speaking and acting for themselves without your help. Some people will call this “horsing.”
  • Possession. While the word “possession” could technically cover all of this, within the spirit work community it’s usually reserved for channeling where the human did not consent beforehand. This doesn’t necessarily mean in a violating way- I once had a friend who got possessed just long enough for an entity to yank them out of danger; once I was taken for just a moment to convey a quick (but very direct) message to a devotee, and snapped out of it right after.

Reasons to Channel

Everyone will have a different reason to channel but most of them fall under a few categories:

  • Helping Someone Else. You’re channeling on behalf of someone who can’t [easily] reach the entity themselves, in order to ease communication between the two parties. This is often seen with mediums contacting spirit guides and Ancestors.
  • Aid in Other Works. The entity is better suited to accomplish a certain task than you, so you let them take the lead. This is often seen with a familiar or spirit companion, someone the practitioner works with closely enough to know their strengths and trust them.
  • Easier Communication Overall. Channeling is a way to get really familiar with an entity’s energy. Again, we often see this with spirit companions and is more to bond than to achieve another goal.  This would include automatic writing or letting a spirit experience things “through” you.
  • Ritual Invitation. In some traditions, it’s common to invite deities to ritual events. Often, some type of channeling/possession is expected and is usually reached through ecstatic experiences. It’s taken as a sign the deity has arrived at the party, either a sign the offerings have been received or a time for the deity to convey important messages.

Before-You-Begin Essentials

  • Know How To Protect Yourself. This is non-negotiable. Is your discernment tuned enough to spot an impostor or malevolent entity? Do you know how to end a session early? Do you know how to banish a spirit in an emergency? If the answer is no, then study up and return to channeling when you’re ready.
  • Know Your Entity. Channeling, by nature, puts the practitioner in an intimate and vulnerable place, so you don’t want to give that access to an entity who may misuse it. If it’s your first time channeling, make sure you trust this entity with your life.
  • Don’t Channel Alone. When you channel, you’re in an altered state of consciousness. Having someone grounded near you helps keep the session on track and keep you out of trouble should you need it. (Either by forcing an entity out if needed or just keeping you from climbing that tree.)

Other Notes

  • It’ll Probably Take a Lot Out of You. Have something ready to ground and rehydrate yourself after a session, and make sure you don’t have anything high-demand planned after.
  • Start Small. No need to jump head-first into the most advancecd and high-intensity types of channeling! Start with automatic writing or painting and get used to the feeling and work your way up.
  • Don’t Make It Weird. Basic etiquette still matters. Channeling is not a pass to give unsolicited messages to other practitioners, speak on behalf of their deities to them (unless they’ve specifically asked), or say hurtful things cushioned by: “What? It wasn’t me who said it.”
  • Messages Are Rarely “Pure.” This means everything is still filtered through you, the practitioner. Your values, morals, biases, and beliefs can inform what messages get through and how they are conveyed. Nobody wants to send out a message they disagree with, after all. This becomes less of an influencing factor with experience as one learns to hone their skill and let go more, but it’s important to always keep in mind. (If a channeling friend says a deity doesn’t accept your gender identity or something, that’s a good sign that really your “friend” doesn’t accept it.)

Making your craft your own

I’ve had a lot of questions over the years about what my craft is, where it gets its power from, and how I set about building it.

Many of you may follow a specific practice but feel like you don’t really resonate with it or at least not all of it. Maybe the community that surrounds your practice isn’t what you were hoping it would be. Maybe you haven’t even found a predefined practice that you like yet. You’ve searched for others but the ones you are most interested in are culturally protected and/or it’s difficult to get ahold of valid information.

If any of those ideas strike a chord with you, I highly recommend starting your own practice. But where do you start? How long will it take? Is it difficult?

Fling the door wide open

To start your own practice, you need to stop practicing completely. Not indefinitely, just for a a little while. I don’t mean stop your religious practices. I’m more so referring to spell work, Sigil work, spirit work, divination. All non-deity related practices. All witchcraft.

Take as much time as you can manage to be isolated and quiet. Set aside desractions, forgo Tumblr for a while. Just sit and think about what it is you really want out of witchcraft. Why do you practice? Whatever environment and/or tools you require to come to a solid concusion, use it.

Once you’ve figured out why you practice, think about how you can make that reason the corner stone of your practice. What type of witchcraft fits over that reason the snuggest? Does divination? Spirit work? Maybe astral travel or a psychic ability? Whatever it is, latch on to it.

Breaking the chains of what doesn’t serves you

This segment is for those who are leaving a set practice in order to pursue creating their own.

Now that you’ve figured out what you’re practicing for and what aspects of witchcraft best serve that purpose, it’s time to set aside the practice you started with. Take all the books, notes, grimoires, tools, etc related to that practice and set them aside. Even if a lot of the practice fits really well with your realizationsand decisions about your own practice. Set it aside. Put it all in an out of the way, but respectful place.

Get a fresh notebook and a writing ustensil.

Brick by brick

You can’t build a well crafted stone house in a day. It may have only taken you a short little while to figure out why you practice and what you want to focus on, but building your own craft will take your entire life. It will never be done. You may reach a plateau, but after some time it will demand changes and then the building starts all over.

If you don’t already have a notebook/app/any other media to record your thoughts out, you’re doing it wrong. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING. Every little idea. I have a mountain of scrap peices of paper floating through both of my grimoires with little notes scribbled on them.

At first it’s VERY important that you strive to be free from outside influences when it comes to your craft.

Start by creating your own correspondences for the tools, substances, herbs, colors, etc that you resonate with the most. Experiment with them in small little spells and enchantments. Find out what works best to serve you and underline it.

Try to create your own system for doing things. I’ve created three methods for sigilcraft and five different methods for reiki and complex energy works. Reality follows certain rules and so should your craft. But they should be your rules. Make a set of rules for your sigils to follow. Maybe the shapes you use each have a different meaning or the colors used, or different angles and curves. Whatever your rules are- as long as you have them, your sigils will have a sense of continuity. Maybe you’ve thought about making a new alphabet for your new Grimoire. DOPE. Make some rules. Follow them. If you want a really smooth feeling/looking craft- try to apply the same set of design/correspondence rules to everything. Never stop improving. Never stop growing. Never stop learning. Never stop experimenting.

Playing well with others

Now that your craft is starting to have its own shape and it’s starting to breathe on its own, it’s time to get back out your old books and grimoires, if you have them. Read through them very carefully and find what still serves you. Set aside the rest. It may come in handy one day.

Now we get to the scariest part of creating your own craft: Cultural appropriation. How do you avoid it? How can you be certain you haven’t stolen ideas from closed cultures? Two things.

  1. “Inspiration from” and “stealing from” are easily confused from a distance. It is okay to get inspiration from the processes found in closed cultures. It is not okay to use prayers, deities, symbols, and specific practices, etc.
  2. Reach out. Make friends with practioners from as many traditions as possible. Talk with them about their traditions and tell them about your practice. Be honest and open. Having an open line to practioners of a closed culture is VERY helpful. Run things past them to make sure you’re not stepping on any toes. Talk to them for inspiration. Let them call you out for fucking up. It happens.

Winds of change

The first year will be so exciting and new and everything will feel so good because you’re finally expressing that part of yourself you couldn’t find anywhere else. When that initial euphoria wears off, you’ll feel completely stagnate.

Tough it out, bud. It’s worth it. One day, a tiny little idea will pop into your head and it will snowball into the first of many major evolutions of your craft. Let it happen. Change is good. Making your own practice is a lifestyle. One that will always be changing. It may takes years but it will happen. Try to build your practice so that it has room to not only grow, but to change as well, even if your cornerstone changes. Don’t be afraid of change in your craft. Ever. Embrace it. Love it. Cherish it.

If you have any questions or just feel like sharing your craft, please feel free to dive into my inbox or ask box. I am also starting a Discord server just for those “eclectic” witches who have created or are creating their own practice. If you’d like to join, please send me a message. Please specify that you’d like to join the unique craft Discord. (I am currently running five different discord servers) ♥️

I hope this was helpful

I'm just saying. You've got options.

Does this work with parents/shitty family members?

Don't see why it wouldn't

A Simple Bind To Shut Someone Up

For when you want someone to quit talking shit.

Procedure:

Take a piece of paper and draw a tongue (a horseshoe shape with a line going down the middle) then draw a large X through it.

Write beneath the drawing “You will hold your tongue.”

Fold the piece of paper over and glue it shut, or take a safety pin and pin it closed.

Slip this into a jar with a layer of black salt (or mud) at the bottom of it. Seal the jar and store in a place that light will not reach it.

* I did this simple binding when a manager would not lay off my ass and it worked fairly well for me. Happy binding!

Binding Spell

Use this binding spell on a person if they are causing you harm (psychical or mental harm)

Needed:

  • A square piece of paper
  • A black candle
  • A black pen

Write the name of the person who you are binding on the paper. While visualizing them, draw a witches knot over their name. Fold the paper three times and seal it with the black wax. As the wax drips, say:

“To be protected from you

this magick charm I will do

With these words I bind thee

For you to leave me be

To be protected from your harm

I now seal this charm”

Focus on the person and visualize them as clearly as you can while the wax dries and the candle burns. Keep the paper in a safe place, and if the person starts to bother you again get it out and charge it again.

If you ever wish to release them from your bind, burn the paper.

Who wants to hear my new hex idea lol

okay so!

- get a jar. Get some fake bug toys from like Walmart or the dollar store.

- Make either a paper puppet of the target, or make a tiny poppet.

- Put lavender, thorns, bay and sage in the jar. Put bugs in jar.

- Shake jar and say: "little bugs, creepy crawlies, those in this jar pay for their folly"

- put poppet in jar. Shake some more so the poppet is covered in bugs.

- envision the target having the feeling that bugs are crawling all over them constantly. Envision that even their dreams are full of bugs.

- say "so long as you are in this jar, the bugs will never leave. They invade your home, they invade your dreams"

- remove poppet from jar and bury in salt or soak in moon water to cleanse to remove the curse

Free books on Magick (PDF’S)

A few people have messaged me asking for my master list of working pdfs. This is what I have and its not super organized but it is in alphabetic order for what its worth. Anyways, they’re all free so please please please save them, download them, print them and most importantly READ THEM if you come across any that strike your fancy. Also, I’m not saying that every single one of these books are completely amazing, but either way, they’re here for you to make your own value judgements on.

Sarah Anne Lawless spills some Tea and I am living for it.

I’ve cherry picked some hot takes.

My personal favorites are the following :

Preach.

Now, I would be lying if I said this did not shook me a bit, too. How could it not ? As a French native living in the UK, the question of the land, of the roots, of where you are and where you are from, of what is learned and what is born with, obsessed me already. I always had trouble to picture how and why deities from a specific pantheon would approach some random occultist based on a far away land and cultural heritage, for example. Spirits talked to me in Greece, they also talked to me in Japan, but they don’t constitute a « court » - what a pretentious word to use. I’ve also struggled understanding why every trad witch ever (myself included) seems to aspire only to be some watered-down Gemma Gary anglaboo. Hell, I live three hours away from Cornwall but I certainly am no « Cornish » anything. No wonder our practices are standardized, no wonder everybody laid out some milestones to reach and coined them with empty words such as « initiation ». This discourse is an invitation to take a long, hard look on ourselves, on myself, my practice, and its perspective - and so I do. My « gods » are local - this much I know : the blackbird foreseeing my death, the hawthorn that provided me with shelter and a name, the cat sidhe who showed me a hidden graveyard needing tending and the copper penny for my first offering. The « Witchfather » appeared to me in a disguise that has its local variant - if it is indeed the « Witchfather », this, like « Devil », being more of a title than anything. And that’s fine - I prefer a small god. I am at peace baking honey bread with English flour for the marsh nearby, sealed with a drop of my rural French blood which taste of salty mountains and ancient lakes.

I am no lesson giver nor lecturer. I’m learning, aye, and juggling between interests and heritage is indeed like foraging into a magpie nest made of shiny trickets... but not all that shines is gold.

The “Tough Luck!” Hex

Quick, easy, cheap! Find a penny minted the year your target was born. Use a black candle to drip wax on the heads side of the coin, et voilà! A permanently unlucky penny tied to your target! Use as part of a larger curse or on its own to cause a bit of ill-intentioned mischief. 😈

How To Do Magic

When I started practicing magic I thought there was a missing link. Something I didn’t understand. Sure, I could look up spells, but surely that wasn’t enough. There must be something else, something I didn’t understand. After all, simply repeating words and tying a red ribbon around an egg couldn’t be enough to affect reality, could it? What was the secret that would turn words in to real effects?

It would take me years before I was able to put together a model of magic that fit what I observed. As a spirit worker and an animist, my model of magic revolves around the spirit world. As I began to understand my model more and more, magic made more and more sense to me and my skills increased. I would like to share with you my model for understanding magic and how it helped me understand the world in a new way.

Everything has a spirit. Well, almost everything. Everything organic and living has a spirit, as do many man-made things like cities, houses, and objects. These spirits do not follow physical laws, because they are nonphysical. They exist in a highly symbolic world, where snipping a string is symbolic of breaking a relationship apart, or tying a string together can represent a binding.

Humans are able to interact with spirits because, well, the veil is thinner than we all like to think. Spirits are not off in some far-away “spirit world” that we have to travel to. Spirits exist alongside us, around us, and in some cases within us. The spirit of your house is not locked away in some ivory tower in a remote spirit world; it is around you always, slumbering, watching, and waiting for human contact.

When you take an egg, or a ribbon, or some string, the physical objects are nothing but representations and symbols. The true magic lies with the spirits, and energies (which are nothing but spirits without a mind; or it could be said that spirits are nothing but energy with a mind), which you are going to manipulate. And we can manipulate it because the veil is so thin, and humans are so excellent, that it is hard not to manipulate it.

So you are going to cast a spell to end a friendship. You take some ribbon, which is black, the color of bindings. Again, this is symbolic – most metaphysical bindings are not black at all. And then, the real magic is about to begin.

When you use your words (and all words are magical, and everything you say and do is a force of magic), and your actions, and focus intently on the metaphysical reality around you, it is just like tapping in to the Matrix. And yes, everything you say and do and think is a force of magic, which is why it’s pretty vital to be in control of yourself if you do magic. This can be an anxiety-inducing thought for some, who want to say and think and do whatever they want, and then still lead the special life they want to live. Well, it doesn’t work that way. If you want to be a good person, it starts with good actions and good thoughts. If you want to be a prosperous person, it means focusing on prosperity and not worries of debt. A spell is just a hyperfocused laser of intent, but intent is always radiating out of you like gentle waves in an ocean. But I digress.

When you focus on the metaphysical reality around you, and truly believe you are interacting with the metaphysical using your physical symbols, then true magic really begins. And when you, with your iron will and laser focus, turn that ribbon in your hands in to the bond of friendship, the magic really starts. And when you snip it with silver scissors, the metaphysical bond is also snipped in half.

This essay is called “how to do magic.” So here is how to do magic:

  1. Come up with a working model of magic that makes sense to you. One that, when followed, improves your power and understanding of the universe.
  2. Use physical objects to represent the metaphysical, and meditate, focus, or enter a trance state or a frenzy until you can truly believe that what you are holding IS the metaphysical energy or spirit.
  3. Carry out acts on your physical objects that symbolically represent what you want to happen in the real world.
  4. Sit back, relax, and reward yourself with a smoothie.

The missing link I never found was linking the metaphysical to the physical, and causing my physical objects to become the metaphysical spirit or energy. Once I discovered that, everything fell in to place and I became a much better sorceress for it.

Why are your manifestions not working?

✨ You are too attached to what you want. Let go & live your life. The Universe will provide.

✨You have subconscious blockages/limiting beliefs that need to be identified, analysed & be released. Reprogram your subconscious mind with new beliefs.

✨You are creating resistance/ coming from a place of lack. Check your self-talk.

✨ You are focusing too much on what you don’t have instead of what you do have & being grateful for that.

✨Toxic environments also create clutter and lower your vibrations. Take a look around and see how your friendships & relationships are.

✨ You are manifesting from your ego & not from your heart.

Anonymous asked:

Where do you personally draw the line between cunning folk and witches?

I really like this question, thank you. Excellent food for thoughts. I’m afraid what this rambling might eventually boil down to, however, is vast differences in political opinions - as nobody ever agrees on taxonomy. But let’s give it a go, shall we.

It has been clearly established (more or less) by scholars such as Emma Wilby in her seminal study Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits, that cunning folk practices largely act out of benevolence, while witches perform their malefica against the community.

You would go to the cunning folk for the lifting of curses, various healings of man and cattle, and for protection.

You would fear the witch.

Now, where things get a little trickier (as evidenced by Lee Morgan’s in Sounds of Infinity for example - himself influenced by authors such as Pocs, Lecouteux and Ginzburg), is that cunning folks supposedly draw help from fairy familiars while witches rely on the assistance of devils and demons. For obvious reasons of typology and classification (for we are touching the delicate subject of the nature of such spirits), the strict distinction starts to become quite… muddled. More so when, considering the fairy faith in the Isles, we reach a point where the very alien essence of witches, their Otherness, if you like, comes from the suspicion that a witch might, in fact, very well be fae themselves - or by all accounts something other than human, touched by Death and unspeakable forces. Such otherness often leaves its mark - both on the body and the soul, and you will see across different cultures that there are numerous ways of recognizing a « born » witch, signs that need no further interpretation. « Fairy witches » the like of Bessie Dunlop have history well recorded and multiple accounts to testify of their implication with fairies - more so even, their partnership. On the other hand, the overlap of cunning folk practices and grimoire traditions suggest that these magicians had an understanding of angels and demons and even worked with them - see for example Skinner & Rankine’s The Secret of Secrets. What, indeed, is to be said of this dual faith, of their ambiguous dual allegiance ? And what is to be said of someone who can cure from one hand and who know the technics behind witchcraft so well they can unbind them - is it that they could very well curse from the other ?

« Cunning folk », mind, is a term referring specifically to folk magicians of the Isles even though, as stated before they didn’t necessarily always stick to lower forms of magic). « Cunning folk » is… quite generic - I suppose it is close to the benedanti, the rebouteux, or the trolldom practionners, to draw erratic comparisons with various other European traditions. To confuse the matter even more, cunning folks sometimes used to be called « white witches ».

You ask for my opinion, and for where I, personnally, would draw the line. While I hope it starts to become clear how, in theory, a distinction was made by historians and common people between cunning folks and witches, in practice the boundaries were not so strictly defined. As a matter of fact, if pressed, I would certainly advocate for the very otherness of the witch being where lies the disensus, and where hides the answer. But this is only my opinion.

Things to Remember this Spirit Season 👻

- If you plan on working with spirits or visiting graveyards/cemeteries please be respectful!!! I cannot stress this enough. This means not walking on graves, taking offerings that were placed on graves, taking dirt from the grave of a stranger without permission or worse digging up bones (I swear, some people have no respect for the dead) ☠️

- Leave an offering. If you’re calling your ancestors or just visiting the local cemetery you should always leave an offering. This can be coins, bread, whiskey, wine, cakes, flowers, cigarettes or food that they enjoyed in life. 🍞🍷🍰🍺

- If you’re planning on calling relatives that have passed on for a little spirit phone call to the other side that’s all cool 😎because you knew them or you can at least introduce yourself saying “hi, now I know you may not know me but I’m your great-great-great grandchild and I just wanted to call and see how you’re doing. So how’s death treating you? The family’s fine. One of your great-great-great grandnieces got married recently. Here, I’ll burn a few photos of the wedding so you can see them. She looked beautiful…” BUT if you’re planning on placing a call to a random stranger please make sensible choices and treat them like someone you’ve just met/introduced yourself to. This means don’t go telling your life story to any Ol’ Spirit.

- Be safe. Spirit Season is supposed to be about remembering, mourning and honouring the deceased but you should always remember that your personal safety is paramount.

Spirit season is coming back around in the northern hemisphere so I thought it was prudent to reblog this ancient post with terrible formatting just to remind everyone to be respectful and safe!

Practicing Magic Ten Minutes a Day: Why It's Important and How to Do It

I highly recommend practicing ten minutes of witchcraft a day. Only ten minutes: don’t pressure yourself to work above that (at least not yet).

I can already predict commenters arguing that this approach is lazy. I beg to differ. When you’re lazy, you decide to do nothing because practicing too much effort. Performing magic ten minutes a day is doing something, even if you don’t want to do it. That’s the opposite of laziness. It’s dedication.

Before you decide that ten minutes doesn’t add up to anything, let’s lay down the math.

10 minutes x 7 days a week = 70 minutes. That’s over an hour of practice each week.
10 minutes x 7 days a week x 5 weeks = almost 6 hours of honing your magic skills.

Ten minutes isn’t too much pressure. It doesn’t intercept too much of your day. It’s doable. It provides enough time for practice and reflection. And putting in the time lends you the motivation to continue the habit in the future.

Here’s how to employ the ten-minute practice.

  1. Pick an exercise that you can work on for ten minutes. Preferably, you’ll choose a skill that you want to improve. Examples include spirit communication, divination, astral projection, energy work, scrying, and dream interpreting.
  2. Carve out the time to work on that magic. From in between classes to morning/night routines to waiting for your pasta to boil, you’ll always have a ten minute block to spare. So, use it to your advantage. Set an alarm if you need to be reminded.
  3. Do it before you can second-guess yourself out of doing it.
  4. Frame your results in a positive light. Even if your spell failed, it still taught you something about magic and your skills. Write down what worked and what didn’t work. Decide what you’ll change next time in order to achieve better results. The point isn’t that it went differently than expected; the point is that you did it.
  5. Reward yourself in a small way. You can post on social media, play your favorite song, or tell yourself, “I did that pretty well.” Although this might sound arbitrary, research in 2008 by Dutch neuroscientists found that positive feedback activates the brain more powerfully than negative feedback. We understand positive feedback better since it’s put more simply, which gives us an easy push to work on our magic again.

I’ve been applying my scrying skills using the ten-minute practice and I’ve already noticed an improvement. I hope this post motivates you to tackle your witchcraft goals.

Manifestation Technique: Labeling Water

As you might already know, everything has energy and vibrates at a certain frequency. Your thoughts and words become your reality. A manifestation technique that I want to share with you all is labeling your water.

What you’ll need:

  • Water
  • A water bottle or cup
  • Something to write with
  • A piece of paper or sticky note

What you’ll need to do: You will need to decide what it is that you want to manifest. I usually choose a feeling. So let’s say I want to manifest a loving relationship, I could label my water “love”. Or let’s say I want to have tons of money in the bank, I could label my water “abundance”, “wealth”, and “money flows to me easily from expected and unexpected ways”. Really put your own spin on this. You can add phrases, words, affirmations, a drawing.. anything! Write it on the piece of paper then stick it to your water bottle/cup. The only thing left now is to drink the water.

How does this work? You are setting an intention and programming the water to match the same frequency of your intention. The water is now charged and emitting a vibration that matches exactly what you want to achieve. Once you drink it, you will be of that same frequency.

Why water? Water is one of the best mediums for transmitting information and energy inside us. Once you label your water and set an intention it changes the molecular structure of the water. It is possible to transmit any message at this level. You are becoming one with the frequency of that which you want to achieve.

Thoroughly Clearing Spaces

Every time I return home from a trip, I feel a very dense, neglected energy lingering in and around my home. This is the method I use to completely cleanse my home or a room when something feels amiss.

🔮Turn off as many electronics in your home as you are able to:

Turning off as many electronics as you can in your home eliminates any waves that can interfere with the flow of natural energies. It also allows you to reconnect much better with the earth itself and recharge.

🔮Only allow natural light:

Artificial lighting tends to create a harsh environment, and can interfere with energies from the sunlight or moonlight.

🔮Light your favourite incense and candles:

Allow the incense and candles to burn down completely for the longest lasting effect. Meditate in the space they burn in and focus on bringing in positive energy and sending out the negative.

🔮Consecrate your tools:

Believe it or not, your own tools that you use in your craft can let off negative energies as well, especially if they have been exposed to it for a long period of time. They need some TLC to be used for their best effect.

🔮Clean your house:

Removing grime and grit, as well as clutter, really effects energies in your home. Doing so provides a much more open space to allow positive energies to radiate. Messy environments also reflect a “Messy” energy, causing a lethargic space.

🔮Work some basic spells:

The process of casting positive spells or creating some healing apothecary items works to lure in positive energies. By having a good-hearted intent, these energies will draw into the space naturally and on their own.

🔮Recharge sigils in your home or make new ones:

Let’s face it, even though we all tend to neglect this bit, sigils need to be recharged from time to time to keep their full effect. Roam your house and find any sigils (or wards!) that need some refreshing.

There are numerous other ways to cleanse your home or space, so please share! This full cleansing is a personal ritual of mine, and it does take quite a bit of time and energy so make sure you have a clear schedule! Blessed Be Dearies!
