AU - BBC Sherlock inspired theater mashup
If you haven’t read this story by EmilyCare yet, it's oh-so-fantastic!
Check out this selection:
"Curling, luscious raven-black hair. A contrasting pale, angular face. With long dramatic lines of nose, brow and cheek that drew and riveted the eye. Arched, plush lips a dusky rose. Ice blue eyes traced with other hues begging a lover’s gaze to map endlessly.
His ivory neck disappearing into a ruthlessly fitted pale blue shirt which was dashingly rumpled at the end of this long work day. Buttons undone at the neck teased a peep show of luminous chest.
Cuffs rolled up high exposing surprisingly muscular arms and - breaking the pre-Raphaelite vision, but visible to John's trained eye - faint scars at the dimple of inner elbow attesting to past, repeated injection of drugs.
The man looked beautiful. Unearthly. But there was something vulnerable about him. The skin a bit too translucent. The eyes dark with strain. "
One of the absolute BEST Sherlock fics out there. It’s dizzying, absorbing, and so very accomplished.
Second that! Such an amazing fic, impossible to forget.
Hear ye hear ye, my fellow Ren Faire geeks!!!!
Even if Sherlock Holmes isn’t your usual cup of tea, the author has channeled her own experiences there to pull off an ELECTRIC account of immersive audience-participation theatre.
Go now and play!
