Yes, Loki didn’t necessarily need to be with someone. But being with someone who makes you grow, who makes you do very constructive things, who makes you better, that’s THE important thing. Sylvie has changed Loki enormously. Loki has never smiled more sincerely than when he met her. His past made him very fragile, and with her, he realized that he was stronger than others had led him to believe. Because Loki IS powerful. Loki has evolved more in one trip with her than in years. The role of being with someone is not to be “in a relationship” and nothing more behind it. If your other half opens your eyes and brings you a lot of good things that are buried inside you, that’s what’s most important, once again. Sylvie didn’t or won’t reduce him, but they’ll be on the same level. He’ll no longer be someone else’s shadow. He’ll be beside her, holding her hand. They’ll bond to be stronger TOGETHER. That’s what a magnificent ship is all about: being fulfilled, pushing each other, completing each other. That’s why I love this ship more than anything.

And I’d like to add something because *some people* seem to be saying that I didn’t see the series the way they did. But to say that Sylvie is toxic is YOU not understanding this character and what she went through. Yes, Sylvie was very cold, very angry, behaved brutally with him at first. But her reaction was logical. She’d been left all alone since she was a child, on the run, with no bearings, fighting to survive, she had no way of attaching herself to anyone. She says herself, “I don’t know how to do this.” Because she didn’t have the opportunity to be in a healthy place, to be safe anywhere, nobody taught her this. She was so intent on getting revenge for what the TVA took from her that she closed herself off and learned to do everything herself. She didn’t want to harm him in a “nasty” way or be his shadow. Her anger got the better of her. And Loki wanted to kill her just as much as she did in the beginning. They BOTH had violent attitudes/gestures towards each other in the beginning, and that’s normal. Loki was frustrated that someone called “Loki” was more incredible than he was. His pride took a hit. And Sylvie was stubborn in her “glorious purpose.” And that’s exactly what Loki did in “the avengers”, he killed people needlessly for supposedly incredible glory. So much so that he was lost and drowned in his revenge.
