I think a lot of people will say the episode was slow filler and such. But this honestly answered so many questions or touched on them. I think too many people just want to see the boys run and do crazy stuff but the previous episodes with rex and the others was actually insane. Literally a two episode drop.
It's easy to forget this show is about Omega. And honestly people still don't like her much unless she's around the boys. But she is great and is such an interesting character I would love to see what my girl does if she is force sensitive.
But also showing us more Ventress??? This is amazing and an opportunity we don't often get with a lot of star wars characters I am so happy to see her even if my memory of her arcs isn't great.
I thought this discussion and insight into what they all think about the situation. The war. The direction Ventress has taken. The dangerous naivety of Omega with the force and trust. How little people tell her. Crosshairs protectiveness. All of this feels like doors are opening and as I said before looking out into a much much bigger abyss and connecting further into the universe and I goddamn love it STAR WARS!!!!!!!!AAAAHHHH!!!!!!!
There is absolutely zero filler in this show.
Every scene has new information, world building, character development, insightful details, and complexity.
Any story that consisted solely of “main plot line events” would be shallow and unsatisfying.
All of this!
I took Ventress's parting to them as a 'seeing the attachment' and not wanting to separate them. Also, Omega would 100% be an even bigger target if she was trained as a Jedi.
In the Kenobi series, they talk about how the Inquisitors were able to track the Jedi because their compassion and defense of people 'leaves a trail'. Omega would NOT be able to turn down helping people in any way.
The more I watch the episodes, the more I wonder if the Kaminoans were developing an artificial midichlorian, and if she was the only test subject it worked on.
Especially if we look at the definition:
Omega was the last straw for Clone Force 99 in a lot of ways. Going back for her in the first episode cemented loyalties and their fate in being deserters of the Empire.
She got them out of Kamino when it was bombarded, and she cemented the choices made by the Batch and Crosshair. She's been such a driving force in their relationships, their choices.
I would LOVE to see the explanation be science based, not in the natural or living Force. It would also explain why Ventress might not have been able to 'sense' the Force in her, as so many Jedi and Force Sensitives have been able to do with others in the past.
I also believe we'll see more of her trying to practice reaching out into the Force (as she did with the meditation Gunji taught her), and maybe, just maybe we might see something come of it.
Either way, the episode was fantastic in setting the scene for the next big step, the fight scenes and visuals were beautiful, and getting the see Ventress stepping out as a true free agent, free of the bonds the Clone Wars put on her is amazing.
Also shout out to the writers with the 'Separatist assasin' line, showing that, no matter how much hold the Empire has, the clones still hold distinct views of the Separatists.
🔥🔥🔥
It has been refreshingly free of Jedi and Force stuff so far, LOL. I'm surprised that it was kinda nice to not have it. 😂 But it would be a good gateway to tie Omega into future SW projects like Kenobi or other animated shows, and it would be a nice "bittersweet" ending like they've alluded to.
