The sun was setting, and delicate rays of light poured into the streets from residences up and down every street on Pabu.

Life Day lights began twinkling on above doors and around windows as the sun sunk beyond the horizon.

Laughter and melodic tunes floated in the air, along with mouth-watering aromas from holiday feasts being set out on tables for friends and family to enjoy.

Summer in Pabu

If you had 3 days to spend with your favorite clone, what would you do? And would you be in an established relationship or just falling in love? I wanna hear all the cheesy daydreams. 😂

ok at first i was like "i gotta take Tech to every museum, planetarium, botanical garden, and science center in the area!!!" but tbh the more i think about it, the more i realize that what i'd really want is three cozy autumn days falling in love with Echo. i love Tech of course, but i'll always have the biggest soft spot for brave, sweet Echo.

that man deserves the whole world!! especially after all he went through with techno union. so i think relaxing would be the primary objective: take a walk to see the gorgeous changing leaves and seasonal wildlife, get hot drinks at a local coffee shop, have a bonfire, bake some cookies together, snuggle up with a movie or some good books (but mostly just to cuddle and talk). yes, i'm making him wear a soft sweater. yes, i'll ensure he takes it with him after our three days are up.

You would have felt a little guilty if the weight of his stare didn’t sit so delightfully on your skin.

It had settled on you the moment you strode into the room and made your way behind the bar at Cid’s. Usually, you hated that you had to moonlight when the guys got to relax after each mission. But tonight, it gave you the perfect opportunity to continue your slightly mean little game.

It wasn’t like you started it intentionally. Sure, you had been intentional in your efforts to grow closer to Echo. But riling him up on the latest mission hadn’t been the plan at first.

Every Night - Echo

This can technically act as a standalone, but this is actually a fanfiction for my fanction requested by @shersten-the-golden and doubly requested by @actuallybarb. Meaning: this is not canon in my fanon; however, this is some delicious Echo angst and even more delicious fluff. So. Enjoy.

This can be read anytime after Panic but was written after Hunter Fever Pt 2.

If asked, I couldn’t say what it was that woke me. The unhurried cadence of Wrecker’s unabashed snoring had long since become an ambience as familiar as the sound of my own heartbeat, and whatever noises echoed beyond the Marauder’s walls were quieted to the point of utter disregard as we slept within the comfort of our durasteel home. Tomorrow, we’d move out in search of whatever target had the misfortune of catching our superior’s attention, but, for just that night, we were free of worry and obligation.

Still, I couldn’t sleep. Resigned to searching out some reason for my restlessness, I crept from the medbay, bare feet revolting against chill of the metal floors as I tread silently through the bunkroom. All but Echo lay in blissful states of sleep atop their cots. Glancing briefly at my chrono, I felt myself frown: Echo should have woken Wrecker nearly an hour ago to take watch…

On a side note, have any of you read/written a really sweet romance for Echo, after the Batch rescues him, and he returns to some love interest he had when he was an ARC trooper? That seems like a sweet reunion and a difficult thing to navigate.

Echo after Workout

Why the shy face, trooper? ;)

Suggestive lil smirk there makin me want to act up.

That moment when Rex gives Echo his blessing to make the choice to join the Bad Batch, and he turns to walk away, and you see his face flicker with immense sadness for just a brief second is. everything. Completely solidified why I love Rex and the show. It is both a touching and devastating moment for such a beloved character.

Rex could have been selfish and kept Echo close but, instead, he gave Echo what he needed - agency. The choice to stay or forge a new future himself. Rex lets his brother go, and THAT really presents an amazing foil to, his general, Anakin Skywalker. Two men who are often similarly characterized but who end with two very different outlooks on the war and on opposites sides after the fall of the Republic.

Don't mind me I'm just blubbering over here. 😭😭

Echo really belongs to two families, and the fact that Rex gave him the choice to leave the one in order to have a home with the other when he needed it…that’s a good dad/brother/captain/man.

Both of their expressions in this scene are just so gorgeous. 🥲 Such beautiful examples of selfless humanity.
