Okay so there has been a shockingly small amount of Echo in this last season and I'm a little bit pissed. Don't get me wrong I've been loving every minute of it, BUT!!! I miss my Echo. I miss him. And honestly we have to rectify the situation, so here you go!

And obviously we couldn't not include our boi Tech, who is still alive by the way. We know he looks a bit different in Leon's art style, but that comes with trying to meld Tem's looks with the clone wars style and our own personal headconans.

I'm not an Echo expert, but here goes...

PERSONALITY: He's earned his confidence. The universe seems to want him around. He's been blown up, broken, rebuilt, robbed of family, turned into a weapon, and had the reason for his very existence turned on its head. He's had just about everything he's ever relied on taken away from him, but he also keeps finding renewed purpose by gaining new family to defend and fight for. He has passion for the purpose he's found for himself, and he draws energy from that. However, he knows what's at stake if he fails in that goal of protecting his loved ones. It's a constant worry and stressor, making him come off a bit gruff.

INSECURITIES: He knows what he looks like, and knows he's not the ideal life partner in the physical sense. I think it would take him by surprise if someone were able to look past that and want to know him more deeply. But if someone really sees him (like they may have hinted at with Senator Chuchi last season), I don't think he would let his differences hold him back. If he found himself in an intimate setting, it would be because any feelings of inadequacy or discomfort have already been addressed, and he knows the person he's with is there for all of him—the clone parts and the clanky parts.

PROSTHESES AND PAIN: My thoughts about his prostheses don't lean into the angsty, constant pain scenario a lot of the fandom seems to envision for him. I look at the rest of Star Wars for how he likely feels most of the time. We never see him in bacta or showing any signs of pain, so he is not in the same situation as Darth Vader. I see him more like Breha Organa, Fennec Shand, or the mods in TBOBF. They aren't shown to have any painful effects from their modifications, and in the case of the mods, opt for them as a body choice.

(Oh, and I'm sure he never takes it off and throws it. There's so much more power from the shoulder and upper back if you deliver the scomp in person! 😈)
