Once again in times illness I humbly request some Jonathan/Herman art, I'm sure you're very busy and I don't want to intrude but perhaps something either mildly suggestive or tender and cute (even if that might be out of character for Johnny boy lol)

Aww! I hope you’ll feel better soon! I hope you like this comic I made, and I hope it’ll cheer you up a little!

thats not exactly what voltaire said but

[ID: a two panel comic of Dr. Herman Einstein and Jonathan Brewster from the movie "Arsenic and Old Lace" (1941). Jonathan has bandages around his head, only his eyes and eyebrows are left visible. While he adjusts the bandages, Herman says "As voltaire said: the doctor's role is to keep the patient calm while nature heals them!" Johnny answers "The doctor's role is to keep the patient from getting arrested. Hurry up." Standing at a table behind Jonathan, Herman answers "Well y-yes that too". /end ID].

Been seeing this dude who is (capitalized) not cute lmao (end caps) but he is cool to hang out with & and I be faking like I don't got me a little crush but I do ☺️ I like his lil ugly ass. He's shot two people. /end ID].

Couple years ago I made this in response to a truly hectic day at work when I had zero time to eat breakfast or lunch, and in the midst of a gnawing hunger I was asked to add yet one more task to my growing list of things, to which I sadly agreed. That's when this line played in my head and it made me realize that Dr. Einstein is really just a forlorn personification of my own appetite.

[ID: a screenshot from the 1940s movie "Arsenic and Old Lace" showing Dr. Herman Einstein (Peter Lorre) and Jonathan Brewster (Raymond Massey). Jonathan sits at a table, looking at Einstein who stands next to him, one hand outstretched towards Jonathan, a pleading look on his face. He says "Yes... but I have to eat first." /end ID].

Inspired by this post by @marwoood

[ID: the "how to talk with short people" meme. Under the red "No" is a picture of Mortimer Brewster (Cary Grant), talking to Dr. Herman Einstein (Peter Lorre), both from the movie "Arsenic and Old Lace" (1941). Mortimer bends his knees to be on Dr. Einstein's eye level, who watches him with a pained expression. Under the green "Yes" is a picture of Jonathan Brewster (Raymond Massey), talking to Herman Einstein. Other than his brother he's standing tall, towering over Herman Einstein who's smiling up at him. /end ID].

Underrated Halloween Classic

I feel the 1944 Frank Capra film ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ doesn’t get as much attention as other great Halloween movies. Sure we know about the classic Universal Monsters, but this movie has three serial killers with a two dozen body count, great atmosphere, tension, fantastic characters and sensational humor. Seriously the jokes are so witty and fast paced you have to watch it a few times to catch all the jokes. Cary Grant especially is hilarious as his character Mortimer struggles to answer the question Is insanity heredity or a product of the environment?
