Underrated Halloween Classic

I feel the 1944 Frank Capra film ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ doesn’t get as much attention as other great Halloween movies. Sure we know about the classic Universal Monsters, but this movie has three serial killers with a two dozen body count, great atmosphere, tension, fantastic characters and sensational humor. Seriously the jokes are so witty and fast paced you have to watch it a few times to catch all the jokes. Cary Grant especially is hilarious as his character Mortimer struggles to answer the question Is insanity heredity or a product of the environment?

What an excellent description. I should definitely bring someone’s attention to this.

Teddy is so adorably weird. I love this family. I love this movie. Old movies are so excellent.

These old ladies SERIOUSLY JUST CONFESSED THEY POISONED A GUY! What the – I LOVE THIS MOVIE! “Yeah! We just poisoned the guy! We put poison in his wine!”

“Taking him to Panama” would make a great expression for hiding a body.

This man needs to be better to his wife. Your brother almost kills her, and you ignore the hell out of her when she tries to tell you!?

This movie seriously had him give his brother ideas on what to do with him.

This movie is so bizarre. I love it.

I bought the colorized version of "Arsenic and Old Lace" and I'm in love❤️❤️

(I mean I love both version, obv, but it was mesmerizing!!! The trees, the background, all the little details😱😍😍 - It costed only 15$ and it was a DVD and not a VHS cassette so.....i had to buy it😂)

(besides Johnny and Herman are in color even gayer 🤣 also Johnny is, in the Melbourne scene, more terrifying 😅 or I just watched the black'n'white version too often 😅🙈)
